Time limit

May 4th (Sunday), 6pm Greenwich Time.

Send your Response to me in a PM marked "Challenge #1".

Notes

Entries must be minimum 1 paragraph and maximum 1 A4 page (normal spacing).
You may inflect the words.
All genres are accepted (romance, humor, satire, etc).

FAQ

What is Literati?

Literati is an online version of Scrabble and can be found by going to Yahoo!, clicking "Games" in the list to the left and choosing "Board" under the "Games Home" tab.

How does Literati Square work?

• Participation

Members will take turns submitting a word to the Square Master (me). The way I'll go about this is by posting a Challenge where those interested can submit a Response in hopes of becoming the next contributor to the Square.

When a person has been chosen they will receive a PM with instructions. Winning entries will also be given a spotlight as their word go up.

• Words

If you'd like to have your word in a specific color I'll be more than happy to fix that. Simply include the hex code in the PM and consider it done. And remember to keep your words PG-13!

• Placing

They way Literati is played is by starting from the center of the board with a word. From there on in you must connect any new word with an already existing word. However, you must make sure that letters that don't form a proper word are not aligned. Here's an example where I've circled how you shouldn't do:

Expect the first round to commence in a day or two :D
