I got the rest of the stuff I ordered~! X3

The art book I got...it's big and I think the pictures are better quality than my last one (I have some of the same artists in this one, but I get to see some of them in better quality 'cause they're bigger! >:D), but the information wasn't as fun and there were TONS of spelling mistakes and other types of mistakes, I was surprised. But, if I just looked at the art, it was pretty good...though small parts of some pictures would go onto the other page, which I thought was annoying 'cause I can't really mentally connect the two and that part of the picture wasn't totally needed...sometimes...O.o;

I think they should have some artbooks made in a kind of binder and switch between wide to thin pictures so there aren't those kinds of pictures all messed up on the page. I don't think people would mind turning the book around and around if it means getting some good quality.

And then I got volume 2 of DOGs, so my inspiration juices are filled! >:D

I like seeing what the artists put in their messages in their artbooks...so now it's made me start thinking...

What kind of art do I do and what kind of art do I want to do...like what I want to express with my art?

Ah! First a quick question 'cause I was reading somewhere about artist's styles and how they're very common. Somebody posted saying that everyone's art looks like somebody elses, and that since they probably took parts from their favourite artists they probably look similar to that artist for that reason.

So I'd like to know, who's art is mine similar to? Liike what artist am I like?

...Just wondering...And you can say more than one. I can never understand how people can notice that my art is mine...I don't see my style...O.o;

Maybe this information could help me steer myself into a style that I really want.

I want a style with a good use of colours, very colourful, and very glowy and bright. I like glowy and bright pictures! *.*

Also, I think I should start trying to do higher quality pictures. Quality isn't really in me forte...buuut I think I should at least attempt it. I think I should also attempt to do the following from now on:

Backgrounds
Realistic Lighting
Cell-shading
High quality

And I need to express myself more! >:-

I actually did some expressive pictures in my sketchbook of the kinds of stuff I like. Like with the hairdos and make-up, but I think it looked a bit weird to other people.

I want to design my characters in a really nice style already...or at least draw them more...>3> I can't think of anything for Klan. I have to peal back something...or something...

I want to redesign Ran, because she's...weird...O.o; I dunno, I just don't know her that well, so I need to redesign her. I'm also thinking of going back and redesigning some old characters...just 'cause I still have a heart for those...I still want to draw Chidori-ai Fuwafuwa...>3> And I still want to draw Allison. Actually...I really like Allison, still, I just don't know what to do with her.

Oh! I noticed this a few days ago...but...I realized why I like Godot so much. He's like a spicy coffee (chai tea~! :D) version of K'! O.O In my eyes, at least. See, compare:

Not exactly similar...so maybe it wasn't K' that Godot reminded me of...but somebody reminds me of Godot and I don't know who it is...TT^TT

One of the artbooks I ordered came~! :D

I like it, there are some really good artists, and it's making me think differently...and most of the artists use photoshop and SAI~! X3

I also found some DA artists...And, of course, the cover of it was done by redjuice999...When I saw their page I was like *face palm* of course it was redjuice!!

Most of the artists were fairly young, like early twenties to early thirties, and they're all digital artists that draw girls. I thought it was a book for video game designs...but later on I realized that since the name was 'GIRL' it's a book for bishoujo artists...XD

There were a lot of artists I've never seen before that were really awesome and original! *.*

Artbooks are fun~! ^ ^

All the pages had something about the artist that they themselves said, like a quick profile with a comment on what kind of stuff they do and what inspires them. One of the artist really liked Berserk and Susumu Hirasawa...XD

Seeing all these different styles and reading about what each artist is inspired by and want to show in their art...now I think I know how I can improve...Like using certain colours to express certain emotions and shades etc.

I may change my style, too...

I want to try cell shading again or something, just to have rougher edges. Not that I'm only going to do cell shading, I just think I should do some pictures like that since I rarely ever do those kinds of pictures.

I've been trying to compile all of the SNK characters (that I kinda like...or love...most except for the big scary and ugly ones...TT^TT) into pictures...but there are so many, so I have part 1 and part 2 of boy and girl...so 4 pictures to show all the SNK characters. I'm doing this so that I can just have a quick reference when I need inspiration for designing characters.

I've also decided to make Abyss genderless! And he will have an almost completely different kind of look...just remodel the guy. 'cause he looks too much like DJ Sisen and too much like a raver, and he just doesn't fit any of the stuff I've laid out for him. he's a very hard character to design if I keep him looking like DJ Sisen.

I gave some of my characters words or just something that creates a picture in my head for each of my characters.

For instance, Abyss is supposed to be like neon lights in a city at light, or the lights on the road at night. He's also kinda like a male peacock...I keep calling him a he...It...nah, I'll call him a he, even though he's actually genderless...like I do with random Pikachus who have an unknown gender 'cause nobody tells you what they are...I just assume they're male or assume they're female...XD Or a victini...I say it's a boy! XD

I'm just writing things down so I can get a good design for my characters and also so I can give them a unique symbol to see them by.

I think all my characters like Abyss are all kinda modern futuristic kinda stuff...liike...computerize...kinda like vocaloids...O.o;

What are your opinions, you guys, of those artists who draw really obese characters? I think it's gross...and I don't understand why they draw that, and why there are so many people who draw that. What part of it is good looking?...O.o; I just don't understand. At least furries have some kind of artistic look to them, these fat characters are just...gross and an eye sore. I don't want to see it, but it's all over MB and DA...TT^TT WHY!?

I might go draw some stuff now~! ^ ^

I don't really have much to say...O.o; Her voice is as pretty as always, but I don't particularly like the song.

W-wow...this...is a first...for K-pop...Usually when I go through all the music of bands I like I usually skip the ballads or something 'cause they're usually bad (I do listen to them, but I usually get bored with them, is what I mean).

But this is a first. I like ALL of Taegoon's songs...*.* Except My Girl, which I'm listening to right now...but I think this is one of those songs that'll definitely grow on me ('cause it's already growing on me as the song goes on...XD).

I first heard his Call Me song...and then coincidentally came across Superstar...and then Betrayed...and I didn't think they were by the same person! XD I got confused 'cause Taegoon and Taeyang sound the same...also, the suggestion videos for the Taegoon videos sometimes have Bigbang videos...So now I have it straight. I don't really like Taeyang, but I do love Taegoon...yeahh...

But my friend has no clue who he is...'orz I wonder how popular he is...He seems pretty popular to me...but I don't really know. Some bands that seem unpopular to me are actually popular sometimes...O.o;

Okay...I don't really like As Insignificant as you....or do I?...Nah, not THAT much...hrmmm....>3>

I like how he sings...like with his accent and whatever...I don't know how to explain it, but he kinda has a beat to his voice when he sings and kinda changes tempos or whatever to make it more interesting...So, yeah, As Insignificant As You is pretty good...

Yep, Taegoon wins! XD I don't have very many favourite male japanese singers...I wonder why that is...maybe there aren't that many male soloists or something...'cause I like some singers in some bands that I like...liiike Hayato from DuelJewel. I think he's the only reason I like the band...XD

Not that I don't like her...it's just she gets all the lines and is practically the main singer, plus she's already the...leader...I guess...of Hello!Project and I think she's good enough to be a soloist. I want to hear her as a soloist! I've been dying for this day! TT^TT

*is excited for her as a soloist* I can't wait~! X3 I love all her solo songs and I listen to them often...however the normal morning musume songs with her singing in it I'm not as mesmerized as when she's alone. Plus she's a great dancer. I expect her to be a really good soloist! >:D

She'll be very popular, I'm sure of it! As long as she doesn't take the enka route...not that enka is bad (I really love enka), but it's not as popular as it used to be and more H!P artists that go that way, as popular as they were in morning musume, aren't as popular anymore...>.>

H-holy crap...wait...she's graduating from Morning Musume AND Hello!Project! I wonder why! I really hope it's because she signed with another company (like avex...that'd be heaven)...I hope she doesn't become one of those singers who was really popular, but you never hear from again...again...like Aya Matsuura or Iida Kaori...TT^TT

Sorry to those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about. I just suggest you go and become a morning musume fan! XD Or H!P fan. I like learning all the names of people and faces...and voices...It just makes it more fun. Sometimes when you learn so many names and faces you kinda stop thinking that it's a lot and it feels like it's not enough! XD

...If I could show you my arm right now...it's covered in stuff for my to-do-list...It's not liiike a to do today kinda of list. It's supposed to from over time. 'cause I know where I placed it on my arm it'll be hard to wash off so I can just trace it everyday.

I did do one of the things on my list, which was look up tutorials on DA...of...anything...'cause I know I have to improve on everything. I'll practice some on my own and with some tutorials. I'll start free-styling~! >:D Liike stop thinking about what I'm doing and just do it.

...the only thing I'm stuck on is that I have to make this journal thing for the art school thing...and I have no clue what I'm supposed to do. Here's a direct quote from the site of what I'm supposed to do with it:

A current sketchbook of drawings -- please note that we define sketchbook as a visual journal that you may fill with photographs, collages, cut outs, personal reflections and other kinds of writing, and other printed matter that is part of your brainstorming, and creative process, in addition to representational and imaginative drawings. Students working primarily in 3-D can bring a box instead of a book, and fill it with 3-D items as well as the 2-D items mentioned above.

...I don't know what pictures I'm supposed to do...and collages...or cut outs...what the heck? I'm probably going to ask my art teacher or something...

I could do some brainstorming now...but I don't know what they want me to do and how many pages I'm supposed to fill up. I need to get a new sketchbook for it, too. I have some sketchbooks, but they're reserved for...umm...not so serious sketches...XD I write in them, but usually it's...to do lists...XD

I'm watching the video of the fake interview thing for it to understand. My friends don't understand, either...O.o;

...My mom showed me her sketchbooks from when she was in college...so I guess I can kinda understand it. She says that I shouldn't worry about it and that since it's MY sketchbook I can do whatever I want with it. It says to put in photography etc. So I can get pictures off the internet, maybe...My mom also says I can take pictures of stuff...but I don't think I have the patience to go through taking the picture, opening it up on the computer, printing it out, and then doing something with it. Also, I'm a terrible photographer, but, according to my friends at school, I'm good at modelling and poses.

I know what I want, I just don't know how to take a picture of it...'orz So I can only do the poses for what I want...TT^TT

So maybe I can look up stuff like that...maybe this can be easier...I feel a weight lifted...Now I just need to ask my teacher for more help and I'll go on with the sketchbook. I can also write about...almost exactly what I type on here.

Which may mean shorter posts...XD
