You better run...run...run...run...RUN!
*cough* Sorry, I was listening to SNSD's Run Devil Run...XD I don't LOVE the song, it's catchy and everything, I don't love the dance either, but THE PICTURE OF IT IS AWESOME! This picture to be more specific:
Yep...
I don't know what to do. I want to start one of my one shots that I've been DYING to do which is a visual kei one shot, too. But...I've run out of my visual kei juice...TT^TT All I'm listening to today is stuff like this:
XD I know, it's really...ermmm...what's the word? Old fashioned, I guess? Nerdy? I dunno...but it's SUCH a catchy song! TT^TT I like Pizzicato Five and any other shibuya-kei groups...In fact, I now have a shibuya-kei hair style (which I think is the BEST hair style I've ever had).
But I'm planning on watching lots of visual kei videos tonight (since I get to stay up late). But anybody else find that you can't draw anything if you are in pain? For some reason I could draw TONS of stuff this morning, but now I can't draw as well as this morning and I have a slight art block...
I went to the orthodontist today and got brackets on my molars...waaay back there, so my teeth hurt...And I can't think or draw...Oh! Also at the orthodontist they have a TV there always on a random channel. This time it was on the Disney Channel which I NEVER watch and I HATE. And I found out more reasons why.
Some...Zack and Cody...On Board? I think that's what it was called...well, I watch ONE episode of that while waiting...IT WAS TERRIBLE! TT^TT Not only were their jokes not funny, but THEY WERE UNORIGINAL! They did the whole thing where the guy was going to say 'You're a pain in the ass', but changes it for something else to censor it...Yep...Not funny at all, and it gets REALLY annoying when that's always in kids shows. ALSO they had the laughing thing...y'know, fake audience laughter...Like every time they said something there would be fake laughter...I wasn't sure what was a joke and what wasn't...It was unbelievable annoying and stupid. Also, I never REALLY looked at the actors or whatever, but every time I see that skater boy hair-do I think of Yuya Tegoshi...
Also, about those unfunny jokes. I HATE IT when new stand-up comedians, or recently popular stand up comedians say ONE funny joke, that wasn't even theirs and they get TONS of laughter. Well, there is one that seems to be REALLY popular. But I hear it ALL the time. It goes kinda like this:
'Y'know why adults keep asking kids what they want to be when they grow up? To get ideas!'
Okay, so it's funny the first time, but...then you get annoyed when SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE SAY THE SAME THING. I think it first came from Paula Poundstone. Oooh! Watch! She's hilarious (I love her style, too, she asks the audience questions and then makes jokes from that):
It's in the middle somewhere.
I watched another lady's stand up from around the same time, the '90's. She wasn't funny and her comedy got old. She would start telling you a story, and then she'd add in random words in there to make it sound worse than it really is. For instance one she would be saying 'So I stopped smoking...crack...' Of course, she was kidding, and it WOULD be funny if she didn't do that EVERY SINGLE TIME SHE TOLD A STORY! But Paula just says her jokes normally, like she is just talking and just so happens to be funny. I really like that.
I like looking at different comedians' styles. Like George Carlin's style is that he starts going ON AND ON AND ON REALLY REALLY FAST and then starts getting more and more angrier and starts saying the f word over and over again. And then his point makes no sense, and that's just hilarious! XD
Then Eddie Izzard explains his stories with actions and as he's telling the story he starts acting out the whole thing so we're watching him doing something AND talking really fast and the fact that he's doing all of that is just so funny. Super multi-tasking while telling a funny story is REALLY funny.
Ricky Gervais does this thing where he has more human reactions to things, innocent reactions. Like 'no, no I don't know what you're talking about,' and lots of ignorant stuff to what they're talking about. Like confusion kind of. That's also really hilarious! They way he tells his stories from different angles making the characters in the stories more like a real person than the black and white we're used to.
Most other comedians just say their jokes, then laugh about it, and that's not at all what a good comedian does. A good comedian has a style that original and makes it seem more real like it just popped into their head. I was watching on guy, and he would interrupt the audience's cheering to go onto his next joke, which you could tell was a joke because you could clearly identify the parts of a joke, y'know, with the beginning, middle, and punch line (probably not the actual names of the parts, but I don't know that much about what parts of jokes are called). That's very boring and unreal and I just don't see how people can laugh at that. You have to give your jokes like you never wrote jokes.
Well...It's almost time for me to go and have dessert and then watch videos on youtube (for inspiration, what?) sooo...Bye-bye, dears! ^ ^
Sooo behind...TT^TT
I'm only on chapter 71 of Ouran...and VERY far in Until Death Do Us Part (I think I'm on chapter 11) and same for Bakuman and SEVERAL other manga...It's killing me...TT^TT
But I'm beginning to not like Ouran anymore...Well, I liked it up to where I am right now. Right now...I'm thinking 'Why isn't this over already?' I'm getting fed up with this unknown stuff. Hurry up and let all be known and end it already. I know how popular this is, and I know that most manga like Naruto and stuff that is really popular will keep getting serialized and stuff, but sometimes things have to end.
Like The Cosby Show, if it kept going on and on until Cliff died...well...wouldn't that be...a bit of over kill? I don't want to watch EVERY aspect of their life. Don't show me EVERYTHING! Let me have a bit of fantasy in my head. The more a series goes the more I lose interest in it and the more I question why they're even putting that in.
There are a few that COULD go on for a long time, but that has to do with the plot and the different things that are affected by that. For instance, Deadman Wonderland could go on and on and on. Why? Because first of all, we have the crazy Tamaki, and the super powerful Shiro so he could do anything with Shiro and there can always be stabbing in the back. Then there's the other inmates, there's tons of those, something bad could happen and they could all get out into the public or something. The other thing about that is that there in a SUPER JAIL with tourism and carnival rides and stuff, so if we saw more of the way the public sees the place, that could also go on. Then if you haven't noticed that pictures of Deadman Wonderland, that place is HUGE. There are things for tourism, and things for the inmates, and tons of other things.
They've been underground the entire time, I think that they can move up a bit for another part of the story. There are more questions about the jail to ask and to be answered, and there are most places to go. There are more inmates to encounter, and more plots from Tamaki. There are more and more secrets behind secrets to be revealed. TONS of stuff. It's just started, but more things seem to have happened in the first 20 chapters than any other manga I've read and more things can happen off of that.
But for Ouran there's...Hikaru and Haruhi...and then Kaoru and Haruhi...and then Tamaki and Haruhi, and we see how they try to go along with all this. Unless they put in Kyoya and Haruhi, or Haninozuka and Haruhi, or even Morinozuka and Haruhi....it's pretty boring right now since we all know what's going on right now and all we need is a confession. Yes, there's the whole Suoh thing...which has nothing to do with the plot anyways, it's just stuff about Tamaki that could be interesting to know. Shoujo manga can't go on forever. Because there's always going to be a couple in the end that love eachother, we just have to wait for them to realize their feelings, and then it's done. I REALLY do not want to see them get married and have children with a few bumps every now and then....Those are for sitcoms...I don't want to read a manga that goes that far into somebody's life.
For Naruto, there's also tons of different things to do, so it's fine going on forever. And the same for some other manga. But I've found that Bakuman, as good as the writers are (and they can probably pull it off), it can't go on forever. It's just not that kind of manga. Yes, it's a life manga or whatever, but somewhere down the road it's going to get REALLY old and there isn't much you can do that can keep the readers satisfied. You can make one of the main characters move to another country or something, or they develop a new hobby or something, but that's just going to ruin somebody's thought of the manga. Like if their favourite character was the one that was moving, and then because of that everything went downhill, that reader is going to be depressed, hate the manga, and will stop reading it.
So I think mangaka should be more concerned with the length of their manga than just making manga. Death Note is a perfect example of a manga that could've gone on forever, but didn't, and now it turns out to be a REALLY good manga.
Speaking of manga that should and shouldn't end. Chocolat shouldn't end YET. Just two more volumes, PLEASE! THEY PROMISED US THEY'D END IT AT 10 VOLUMES! But they stop the serialization, or it's hiatus. DON'T DO THAT! If you're going to finish a manga SOON FINISH IT ALREADY, and don't stop short!
Here's a good point. If you're making a manga, plan on how long it's going to be and make sure you don't go too overboard or too under so that you mess with the readers.
Future mangaka! You need to pay attention to your readers. Actually, that goes for anybody wanting to make a series of any kind, novels, tv shows, movies, anything. MAKE SURE YOUR AUDIENCE DOESN'T GET DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. You will be killing your readers (not literally, just hurting their feelings). For instance, my brother USED TO love Berserk, but now he hates it because it went on for soooo long that when the mangaka started getting into weeaboo things that completely messed up the storyline (apparently). There's an example of a manga that could go on forever, went on too long, and now is going downhill, but there is still no end in sight.
Yep.
I've got nothing else to say about that! XD
Oi! More music time! ^ ^
Okay, so this isn't really focusing on the music, though it IS a music video, I don't care about the music....It's the video...The video is amazing. I mean, I've seen this before, but it never went such a far distance...O.o And did so many things...O.o I really like this video! ^ ^
Yet another video where I wasn't paying attention to the music! XD LOOK AT THAT GUY!! OMIGOD!! HE LOOKS SO WEIRD!! But that's interesting, but I hope he's not hurting himself. He looks like a stylized person...It's a bit creepy...Wouldn't want to meet him in real life, but that's really interesting...O.O Doesn't he look like somebody drew him and he came to life!? Really it soooo looks like that to me! O.O *stares*
I can't stop listening to this song! TT^TT It's just so awesome!! 'cept the singer is going a bit nuts in the video...O.o Don't you think he could do some other moves than moving up and down? I also think that the voice that the singer usually sings in isn't real. I mean, he's singing it, but I think he's trying to sound like Shou or something. Because the parts where he sings 'wakaranai' and parts like it...I think that's his real voice. And I really like it, but when he has the parts where he isn't singing that where he's just on the main melody...I don't really like his voice...I wonder if a lot of visual kei singers do that, because I lot of them sound the same. Except for the singer of DaizyStripper, he's the only one who sounds unique enough. His voice is really high pitched. And the singer for Aicle.
WOAH! AICLE!
Now he seems to be one of the only visual kei (or even japanese) guys I've seen that REALLY acts gay. Like he's actually trying to be a girl instead of his own kind of person (like the others in visual kei). And his voice is probably not that high pitched. But what do I know, I'm really know to this band so I could be wrong about all my assumptions. Still...he's weird to me...O.o
Wow...none of those videos (except for one) had to do with music...They may be MUSIC videos, but that's not what I was paying attention to! XD
Maybe I should be doing something...
Wow, I'm really not very social, am I? I should be sending my friends gifts on their birthdays, drawing pictures for them on their birthdays, giving random gifts to people, commenting on more people's artwork, and drawing more friendly pictures.
But, no, I don't do any of that. I tried for about 2 days, but then I got lazy. I should really be more into this community.
All I do is post random posts on this world, comment on SOME friend's works, and reply to comments on my works, and go through all the fanart per day and vote on each artwork (if I like it and it doesn't seem like spam).
I don't think that's enough. Same goes for my other accounts, DA and MB...I dunno, something about them just doesn't make me want to talk to anybody. Maybe the fact that there are so many people who don't speak English...and I'm not sure what language they speak so I can't communicate with them...>.> Most of the time it's Chinese (which I TOTALLY don't know). And DA is too big for me to figure out HOW to talk to people...There are too many things...it's just too big for me...
And since I've been on here for years, why not actually talk to more people instead of not doing anything?
Well, besides that! I've got some bands that I've been listening to (visual kei).
Bad quality, sorry. This band is called 176BIZ. Surprisingly, I can remember this name but not SF-A2 Miki...O.o (Not that I didn't remember it now, it just took me months to remember Miki's full name). I like the singer's voice and the songs are very catchy and they all look very good, so there's a win there! ^ ^
Kagrra! I LOOOOVVVEEE KAGRRA!! I mean, they aren't any Alice Nine (looks wise), but they rule at music! All of their songs are so catchy and the singer has a BEAUTIFUL voice like a perfected version of Keiyuu's.
This is v(NEU). I like the singer's voice...that's actually about it. I guess they kinda look cool...and SOME of their songs are catchy...I don't love them. They're not the best band, but they're pretty good.
And The Kiddie. I like this band a lot, also! It just all mixes together to make a good sounding band, and they don't really sound like every Visual Kei band...I mean, they DO, but the way they play their music, the way the guy sings, is different from what you usually hear. Also, the singer, he has his own kind of look. Usual the singer is either really cool, or really shota, but he's in the middle...O.o So I find that to be cool. (Maya is actually the same as him, and he kinda reminds me of Maya) He also has lots of eye lid piercings like Takeru...O.O;
Oh, yeah, I have like a Maya obsession or something. Not like a squealing fan girl kind of thing...more like...I HAVE to look at a picture of him, I HAVE to watch a video with him in it...And I HAVE to pay attention to him. I was watching this one video with all these visual kei singers there and Maya was there and most of my concentration was on Maya...then on Shou...then on the main singer of Plastic Tree (because they kept asking him questions and I was thinking that he looks better when he's not in a music video....O.o). So, yep. Maya is awesome.
I haven't gotten to Plastic Tree, yet, though it's on my list. Those four are just the ones I like the most and I keep listening to. The others on my list I'm somewhat hesitant to. Like MUCC, I'm thinking of taking that off because they kinda scare me and I don't like being scared.
Look at Plastic Tree:
Now look at MUCC:
So, for MUCC the only scary looking person is the main singer, which is REALLY hard to watch in videos since usually the main singer has more close-ups...TT^TT
Oh! My rules for good bands are:
Must look Nice
Must sing well
Must have catchy songs
Must dance really well
See, they must look nice, if they don't then I'll go with good sounding voices, if they don't have that then I go with how catchy their songs are, if they don't have that, if they dance they must dance well, if that don't have that I'm skipping them. Though, there are exceptions. Like if a band sings well and has good songs...but they look scary I will skip them and never look back. So this is how I eliminated most of the bands on my list.
For instance, I just now eliminated Inoue Joe, just realized I don't like his music at all. He's ugly, he speaks English too much, only one song is catchy, and he's not a very good dancer. So, he failed.
There's some other band that isn't visual kei, but it's really good:
The KINDA look creepy, but their music makes up for it! They're called metronome. I don't have anymore room for youtube videos, though...soo.....Yeah, you can go look it up yourself on youtube.
I think I'm done here. I completely went off track...>.>
Hyde...HYDE? HYDE!?!?
Hyde:
is 41 years old...O.o And he's a man.
He looks like a little girl to me. A LITTLE girl.
AND! Takeru really DOES have a piercing on his lower eye lid:
I was confused on how you would put that on so I didn't think that he actually had a real piecing there, but my friend showed my how it was possible.
AND! Masato:
Has the sweetest smile in the world. Gosh...he's kinda cursed isn't he? See, now nobody could believe that he has evil despicable thoughts that he'd like to put into action (not that I know this, I'm just kidding). Masato, you can never be the cool pouty one, poor guy. Actually, he can, his mouth is capable of such things. Correction of my point, he has the best mouth/lips in the world so he can do anything with his lips and he can look perfect! XD
Okay, enough of that! XD
FINALLY FINISHED! TT^TT
I'm not gonna show you my list (it's just too long). But I will tell you guys my three favourites (I'd show you four, but I can't figure out which ones were my favourites because I forgot to record that):
This is heidi. I like them...because...because...Hrmm....because their songs are catchy and I like the black hair and black make-up and toned down stuff. You don't see that with...well, most bands. So that's why I like them...but the main singer is the ugliest! XD
This is Inoue Joe. I really like this guy..because...Wow, I' having a bad time on reasons why I like these bands/singers. I guess it's because it fits my likes, fast singing, somewhat epic, catchy singing, and fun-ness. Those are the kinds of things I like in music.
This is Jinn. I like this band because the songs are catchy and I like the singer's voice. I did not realize until now that they sang an opening for Code Geass (always thought those were boys, so I never put that together).
I have a total of...124 bands/artists on my list...I just killed myself, didn't I? This'll take me a while...But I'm tired of listening to different artists now, so I'm gonna go back to my usual little hole...that or listen to more of the bands above.
Also, TODAY WAS MY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! But it was kinda ruined when I got a 73% on my Math exam...It made me really sad and depressed the rest of the day...I hope that doesn't mean I got a bad schore on my other final exams...TT^TT I've felt airheaded for MONTHS, now I feel better and I can finally think! ^ ^ So that's the only good part, that it's now OVER!! WOOHOO!!
I doesn't feel like school is over, though...O.o
