Jus' Playin' Arounndddd

I got bored...so instead of working on Idolling...I played around with selfies 'n stuffs...:D

At first I was gonna do the Idolling main characters, but I couldn't do the male ones except for Ikuya...so I gave up and did Alice Nine~! :D

I've been watching old Alice Nine Channel videos and omgosh...so funny...;3;

Tora reminds me of my older brother...only 'cause they're both tall, both have dark hair, pale skin, and a deep voice and both are in a band and both play guitar and both of them seem menacing but aren't really...:D

Besides that they have nothing in common.

Hiroto's making me want to draw Hisoka like him...XD

He's much prettier than I imagine Hisoka...so maybe I should lean more toward him than some of the other people I was inspired by....'cause they're not particularly popular for their looks (that I know of).

Also, really random thing to talk about, but I will anyway! :D

HAIRSTYLES!

Have you guys ever gotten a certain hairstyle based on the hairstyle of singer or person you liked of the opposite sex?

Looking up that pic of Hiroto I actually found a lot of pics of girls showing off their Hiroto-esque hairstyles...O.o; That's just odd to me...'cause...opposite sex, yo. There's a reason it looks good on them.

For me, most of the hair cuts I've gotten were from singers I liked, mostly Maki Goto like these:

There were more but I can't seem to find them....>3> But I definitely had the first one when I was little and first heard of Goto Maki and then I kept getting whatever short hair style she had next.

For a little while I wanted hair like this:

Then like this:

The hairstyle I want nowww...is too complicated for me to find a picture...XD It's not from an idol...it's like a cute layered hairstyle that's more square shaped than upside-down tear drop shape that most short hairstyles have.

Yepppp...:D

Haiiirrrr....I like hairrr..

I'm getting my hair cut soon. Right now my hair is really long...;3;

About this length:

I'm not a fan of long hair...'orz I mean, it looks nice on other people, just not me. Not only that but it's really hot! No wonder I was always so cold! I always had short hair! XD

Okie-doke! Sorry for wasting your time! 'orz

ADIOOSSSS!!

Deadman Wonderland is OVARRR!

YAY~! FINALLY!

It was craptastic!

I seriously loved that series to death (hoho), but right after the Undertaker arc it just fell flat. It was all chocked up with mystery at the beginning and then it told you everything really quickly and was formulaic at the end....or just after that arc.

I do not recommend this manga!

Go read you some Himitsu or something that is trustworthy! Actually, I'm pretty sure Himitsu Top Secret is still going...

I need to read some manga because when it comes to paneling on Idolling I am retarded.

Bokurano's some good stuff.

Blue Heaven is pretty nice, even though it's short.

So many alternatives to Deadman Wonderland. Don't get into it just because there is an anime of it.

Also don't get into it just because it's shocking with the violence and crazy serial killer characters 'cause in the end everyone's quite normal except for the bad guys. Therefore it's not fun anymore.

Actually, don't even watch the anime.

It's surprising how 180 I've turned on this manga. I really really loved it, it was my favourite manga, and then it just kept falling further and further...

The thing that bothers me about Deadman Wonderland is that you would think it would be focusing on the psychological mysteries of a serial killer or just make it so we actually care about the story and understand what these blood powers are, but they never really tell you and it's all very very shallow.

What pissed me off the most was that there was a point where each chapter was basically the same. They fight some impossibly powerful bad guys, almost die, then in the end they come back even stronger. This is very common in shounen, yes, but it just doesn't fit at all with the first part of the series.

The first part of the series it seemed definitely survival of the fittest or something. Barbaric and scary. That went away after the Undertakers Arc, I assume because they were trying to be like 'and everyone was much powerful after that'...which is pretteh stupid. How come Ganta is so strong?! Makes no sense...

I'm comparing it to a lot of seinen, which I probably shouldn't...it's barely seinen...'orz

But if you're interested, like I was at the age of 14 or so, in violence and mature manga....

READ BOKURANO! It's really powerful and haunting.

External Image

It feels like your typical shounen manga at first and you might be like me and already picking out who's the main character, the main girl, the best friend, the annoying guy, etc. But then you realize it's not that type of manga! XD

Blue Heaven is also very violent if you're looking for violence.

External Image

I really like this mangaka's work. The stories usually deal with serial killers or murderers but in more thoughtful way. Blue Heaven is one of his longer ones that I just found to be really interesting with the questions it presents. The style is quite rough, though. It might not appeal to everyone (though I don't really mind, as long as the art is good)

If you're looking for violence and good art read Berserk...but then again, I don't entirely recommend it because I think it might be offensive to some.

External Image

Himitsu Top Secret is also quite violent, but more in a solve the mystery kind of thing...sorta...It's not action-y like the others. Bokurano's not really that violent as in blood and gore, but it's mature.

Ikigami is quite good too

External Image

The art is really nice and it's very clean like Deadman Wonderland. Though...hrmm....

I'm trying to find the perfect alternative to Deadman Wonderland but it's really hard...'orz

Just look at any seinen manga! XD Most of the time they have violence like Deadman Wonderland.

For me, I just like reading books and manga where they focus on things that are difficult to agree with, controversial themes. I really like stories where they humanize a serial killer or show understanding for them. Not that I think they deserve it, but it's just interesting. I'd like my empathy skills ta be top tier! >:D

I should probably stop talking now....

ADIOSSS!

Lololololollll! XD

Hehe....I never say 'lol'...even when I literally do laugh out loud...XD

A WIP of an Idolling page. This is on the second to last page. I was inking them and I stopped on this one 'cause...OMIGOSH! I never clothed Kyosuke! XD And where is his hand?!

I just thought this was funny...but I have to stop here and go draw him so clothing and then the last page...which is actually draw, but there is quite a large group pic which will take some hard thinking! >:-

And for those of you curious, that's what Krita looks like! :D It's actually not pink...I just like pink and decided to choose that colour scheme...XD

Oh gosh, and you can see the tabs I had open....oh wellzzzz...'orz

ADIOSS! Back ta workie dorkie~! :D

Personality Memes~! :D

'cause memes are fun...I will be doing 3 memes! 1 meme will be of my own creation! :D How old do I act meme? HOW OLD DO YOU ACT? [ ] You know how to make a pot of coffee. [ ] You keep track of dates using a calendar....

Silent Manga

Comic Zenon's Silent Manga results are now online!

Results

I highly recommend checking them all out. They're all very good and very deserving of their awards! The second place one made me cry it was so sweet! ;3;

The theme was 'love letter'.

I entered this, and as you can see I did not win, but it makes complete since considering mine wasn't very good...'orz

I would post mine on here, but they said they would post all the entries online, so I guess I won't. If I see mine I'll post a link if that's how it will be.

I'm gonna enter the next one! >:D And the next one and the next one...until I win something! :D

I still have the shounen manga audition in the back of my mind, but I don't think I'm up to that skill level yet.

The winners for the Silent Manga contest are really inspiring style-wise. Actually a lot of them had a slight Takeshi Obata kind of style, which is really interesting! XD But then again, Takeshi Obata's style is just semi-realism and any attempt at semi-realism manga usually looks a bit like his style.

Okie-dokie!
