Harvest Moon Glitch

Remember that glitch I talked about a very long time ago about how I turned on my tv in Harvest Moon an it had a bunch of 4's and some kanji...

I wasn't lying! :D I wonder if they put that in the game to scare people? XD It's a really weird eerie glitch.

To top it all off I was waiting for some stuff to buy on the shopping channel and then that happened...'twas annoying...

OKAY! BYE AGAIN!

Zero's Escape: Virtues Last Reward FINISHED! :D

Sorry for not replying or commenting on anything...I was glued (with super glue) to Zero's Escape: Virtues Last Reward...

And I finished it...but man am I disappointed...No Santa...;m;

But to renew my excitement for the games I read the Q&A on the official website with the director/writer of the games and Santa will be in the next one~! :D YAYYY!

With Phi there I assumed that she had some connection with Santa and we'd see some Santa for sure, but nope. Because of that the game was very unsatisfying and it also has an ending left wide open. I mean WIDE open. They keep telling you to go do such and such and you can't 'cause it's over...;3; The End.

But the writer said that he used the Enneagram types for both games.

999:

Achiever: Ace
Investigator: Snake
Enthusiast: Santa
Loyalist: Clover
Challenger: Junpei
Peacemaker: June
Helper: Seven
Individualist: Lotus
Reformer: The 9th Man

But he did not provide a list on VLR...soooo...I shall make my own comparison of characters! :D 'cause I thought about this leik 100% of the time I played the game. Who matches up with whom?

Ace - Sigma (This was a tough decision, but considering his character is actually quite a lot different than Junpei and seems to have slightly different styles of decision making I feel like he fits Ace's character better)
Snake - K
(Which is kinda strange if you have played the game why he would be so much like Snake and not another character...But he's a well mannered and thoughtful character like Snake(
Santa - Phi (because appearance and the fact that they are both busy and productive and snappy)
Clover - Clover (I mean I HOPE they are the same people...O.o;)
Junpei - Tenmyouji (I mean, if Junpei's the challenger, Tenmyouji matches up with that perfectly)
June - Luna (though their characters aren't at all the same, on the surface they are)
Seven - Quark (I mean, they're both really nice)
Lotus - Alice (Appearnce-wise and because they are pretty much the same character...O.o;)
The 9th Man - Dio (Perhaps because they are both sort of cowardly? I'm not sure, but I feel pity and hate for both of them...XD I don't really know how to compared the 9th man since he wasn't really much a character)

Yep, those are just my opinions and what I have concluded...

Now this third game...omigosh....I want it already...I just want to be able to see into the future to see Santa again...;m;

---

Well, now that I'm done with that I can concentrate on productive things~! :D I will be continuing my work on Idolling, which has really grown on me to become really fun to do. I just worry about the point when I get to screen toning, so you might see a lot of posts of screen toning so that I can get used to it and not shut down when I get to it...'orz

But it's going along swimmingly besides these 3 days of nothingness. Swimmingly, but slowly...I'm taking my time to make sure it all looks how I want it and I feel good about what I did. I might be a tad bit darker stylistically mainly because shoujo has a lot of tones and brightness that...I'm not particularly good at emulating...O.o; Using lots of blacks and strong shadows and angles is more my style and I feel if I try to make it something else then it would hurt me like it did with the first chapter because, as you can see from the first chapter my style isn't exactly something I normally draw.

It was an almost chibified style with no noses...EGAD! HOW COULD I NOT HAVE DRAWN NOSES?! I lovezz noses! ;3;

So the next chapter will look pretty much completely different...XD

---

Back to enneagram types. I actually use these a lot to come up with character personalities...but I forgot the actual purpose of them. Thanks to Uchikoshi I've now realized that I've been using them wrong and I hope to use them to my advantage in writing.

Something that never occurred to me...that stereotypes are good. That for the reader to connect to the story they need to be presented a stereotype to hang on to which will inevitably be changed when given more information about the character. That is really great advice that I've never though of.

This will make story writing much easier! ;w;

---

I still really want to make a one-shot manga in a shounen/seinen style...

Also that shounen manga contest...I feel like I won't get anything in 'cause I really can't think of anything. When it comes to shounen I shut down for some reason...And I really hate that 'cause I really really really want to like shounen, but I just can't get myself to like it.

Now, with anime it's different because they have to show it to a wide audience. It's not like they can just subscribe to get that one type of show, it's actually fairly random. So with anime they have to blend the demographics.

But with manga it's pretty much black and white (oh, puns). You're either shounen or you're seinen. It's pretty obvious to see the difference.

I actually thought of one last night, but I can't seem to remember it and it really pains me....;3; I make the excuse that I forgot it because I was being attacked by a moth and couldn't concentrate and my mind is now filled with that moth instead of my idea...'orz

But that's not fair to the moth.

But the wayyy...MOTH STORY! :D

There was one night that I slept on the couch. I saw a centipede in my room earlier that day and there were tons of other bugs in my room at night, so I slept on the couch.

The next night I was determined to sleep my bed because the couch was not comfortable, so I did. I could see there were some bugs in my room, but they were far enough away from me that I didn't care 'cause I was sleepy. I went to bed under the covers. Then I heard the moth flying around. I didn't really care THAT much, I felt fairly safe under my covers. BUT THEN I heard this rustling sound like something walking across the floor. I thought 'Oh, my cat's gonna get the moth' then I remembered I don't have a cat...;m; I kept hearing rustling rustling, then the flapping of the moth's wings. I assumed then that the moth was crashing into things. But then I heard rustling and no flapping of the mother's wings so I ran to the couch and slept that and I had a terrible sleep.

Then the next day my mom bought me some bug away spray (why can't we just get the exterminator to come?! UGH!!) so I used that and sprayed all over my room until I smell like the spray. I slept very well that night.

But last night I assumed that the bug spray killed the moth and I even cleaned my room and found no moth. I even left the lights on and no moth came to the light, yet...I heard it again...

By then I realized that the rustling sound was the moth moving around on the floor 'cause it was slowly dying. But if it was slowly dying, why at night? Why didn't it die the first night I heard the rustling sound.

Then the moth's flapping wings sounded fairly close to my ears so I panicked a bit. I heard it rubbing on glossy books which I knew were next to my bed and then I heard it fall onto my DDR dance pad which makes a very unique sound so I know for sure it fell there...

Yet...my dance pad was UNDER my bed. How could I hear the moth fall under my bed when it sounded like it was on my night table? There is not moth on my DDR dance pad.

Those glossy books next to my bed on my night stand? They were covered in computer paper so there was no way it could have made that rubbing sound.

Where the heck is this MOTH?! TT^TT Why does it only come out at night?!

Or am I just being paranoid 'cause of VLR and the crazy music in that game...

Well, my story is done...

So lemme finish this post off with music that could have contributed to this bug paranoia.

This song is so freaking terrifying. There was a common symbol of a lion eating the sun and when I listen to this I try to think of a lion making that rawring sound, but instead I keep seeing a golem like creature...XD

Oh! On scariness levels...I felt like 999 was scarier 'cause VLR...I mean, you die from being injected with poison, but before that you get a powerful anesthetic so you die fairly peacefully...999 you just exploded...That pretty freaky. Not only that you're on an abandoned ship and you don't have the freedom to go through doors. Not only that but Clover is really really freaky in 999.

Though the music in VLR is scarier it's not as emotionally disturbing as in 999.

OKIEDOKE~! ADIOS!!

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem?!!!?

NO...no...that is too great that it makes absolutely no sense....How could they make a game like that?! Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright made a bit of sense, but Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem does not...

What, is the final boss gonna be Yahweh and the Fire Emblem characters are all going to be Christians? How is any of that going to work!?

I love both of these series a TON, but crossover games aren't exactly my favourite (except the fighting games, 'cause they can totes do it, no story there). This crossover sounds too dreamy...'orz

2 Day Shipping

AMGASH GAIZZZ! My mom let me buy a day with my graduation money. Nowww, I'm not sure how much stuff she'll let me buy, but for now I really really want Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward...;m;

Apparently it connects to 999 and has a GREAT twist, even the people who were hating on it loved the story...;3;

So I did buy it...and I clicked on free 2-day shipping...COMPLETELY forgetting that it basically doesn't apply here since it's the weekend tomorrow...;3;

I'm left in agony of wait until Tues....Well, know what that means? Hardcore work until Tues.~! :-D (<-- This is supposed to be a forced happy face)

In other newwsss...I beat the Elite Four~! :D Hoping that I would go on to the Champion and wasting lots of potions and revives to get my pokemon in shape for it, only to have to capture Reshiram...;m; Not what I plannnnnnneeeedddd...>3> So I stopped! :D

I also was looking through my FE notes for Awakening todayyy 'cause I wanted to do a quick run on easy mode and get as many support conversations as I could and try to get the most interesting ones...

And I found a list of my pairings and they're soo weirddd...

Leik Nowi and Frederick? Wha?! Or Maribelle and Donnel...Hohoho...that one sounds funny. I dunno how I came up with these...I guess I chose the ones that'd have the weirdest reactions from the characters...O.o;

I HAVE been working on Idolling! :D I'm...60% of the way there! But only 10% if you take out the storyboarding and writing...'orz Remember kids, statistics are there just to make themselves sound big and important when they're actually minor little tidbits of the real thing! :D

Omigosh, sorry...dis arttt...DIS ARTTT...

Oi! I just feel liikeee ittt...but lemme list some artists that are in my top favourites (including mangaka, so I incorporate story-telling skills into this):

External Image

Kinu Nishimura - Artist who works for Capcom and has done the art for Street Fighter numerous times!

I love her rough, yet somehow accurate, colouring style. It makes the characters look so full even though the colouring is rather flat. Her anatomy is to die for. It's so incredibly gorgeous...I've never been so inspired by anatomy until I saw her drawings.

External Image

Tatsuyuki Tanaka - Animator and Artist. He did one part of an Utada Hikaru MV.

His style has this eerie mysterious feel that inspires me a ton. I love his small use of colour, it gives of a wondrous ambiance. Not only that, but his drawings have so much form yet they are flat without much shading...It's amazing how he can do that.

External Image

Satoshi Kon - AMAZINGNKGJDNKGNDKJGN Animation Director who has directed award winning films like Millenium Actress, Paprika, Perfect Blue, and Tokyo Godfathers.

I like his semi-realistic style and ability to add in realistic details to an anime. The movement in his masterpieces (must be called this) is mesmerizing and the imagination is wholly inspiring.

External Image

Reiko Shimizu - Artist and mangaka of Himitsu Top Secret, Kaguya Hime, and so many other wonderful titles.

First off, it's the storytelling. How does she do it. How does she make something so abstract and hard to wrap my head around otherwise, how does she make it so incredibly clear and easy to read?! Most mangaka just smash us with walls of text of explanation, but she doesn't, yet she has so much to say...How!?

Second, her art style I've always adored! It's this lovely bishounen, soft style. It has this sort of art nouveau look that I find really attracting. It reminds me of the '70's manga with the prominent facial features and sparkling eyes which I really love the look of, but sometimes it's too much. Her art style has a nice balance to it.

And dis picture is too kyoot! ;3; Omigosh, Wai Maki-san do you look so adorable here?! And dat kitteh!!

External Image

Takehiko Inoue - Mangaka for Slam Dunk, REAL, and Vagabond.

His art style is sooo realistic, it's beautiful. I think he is the best watercolourist I've ever seen. Some of his paintings are so unbelievable in skill level I just don't know how they COULD be watercolour....O.o;

Hiroaki Samura - Mangaka for Blade of the Immortal and numerous other lovely titles.

I'm not exactly sure what I love about his art, but I really do love it. It might just be because his women are so soft looking and his men are so rough looking. That sort of change I think is realistic and nice. The way how he handles drawing this difference is PERFECT.

External Image

Leyendecker - Famous Illustrator of the '20's.

He's got to be the person who started the whole Bishounen boys thing. I mean, yeah, his men are fairly manly, but also a whole lot of bishounen. Everthing he draws is sooo lovely and attractive, I mean, it should be, he's painting for a consumer. His strokes seem like magic. They characters seem to jump off the page just from these simple strokes. What I love the most about him compared to others of the Western world and what really stands out is the use of flat colour. I love flatness used to create form. It's the opposite of how it should work! XD

External Image

Peter Paul Rubens - Famous artist of the 17th century.

My art teacher let me borrow a book with sketches from the masters (artists) of how they draw anatomy. Peter Paul Rubens stuck out the most to me. His anatomy is AMAZING it looks so real. The way the people are positioned, I felt like if I poked them then I could feel the muscle that is supposed to be there. That great (if that sounds great! XD).

Well, that's the end of my little artist showcase (sorta?)! :D I forgot the rest...'orz I'm so sorry those other gaiz....I probably really really love your art if I saw it and remember, but I can't remember right now...'orz

ADIOS!

Oi! Quick Song before I go (leik every post):

I really like this singer for some reason. All her songs just sound so beautiful to my ears! ;w;

ADIOS! (For realzz this time)

I.Want

;3;

This game looks like a combination of so many things and...ughh...it makes me want to so bad.

Then I read about Xenoblade Chronicles...and now I want that one so badly...Open World, so much freedom....;m;

Though APPARENTLY, I have no clue WHY this is but Xenoblade Chronicles, a game who's lowest rating is probably like and 8/10, is ONLY purchasable at gamestop. Not even online on gamestop.

I looked it up on amazon and they're selling it for $200....Unbelievable. Why American licensing company are you doing this to us?!

It's not a big deal, but meh....something about purchasing it at the stores makes the game feel dirty...'orz

I still want Zero's Escape...mehehehe....;m;

There's a new Zelda game coming out....I'm not so sure about it. Kinda looks like Oracle of Ages or Seasons and I wasn't exactly fond of those games. New Smash Bros. Game looks okay...I'm not a HUGE fan of the Smash Bros. games 'cause there's something about it...since you know the basic gameplay it doesn't feel secret or fun when you know that special move 'cause everyone knows that special move...'orz

The new Zelda Wind Waker remake thingy...meh...Though Satoru Iwata said that it will have some slight changes in the actual game. I wonder if that means the whole looking for the triforce pieces will be taken out, 'cause that felt like a waste of time...'orz XD The graphics...I don't see THAT much improvement, it just looks slightly different. It's a shame about these HD graphics. I really wish that they'd make a game to show as much of the HD graphics as possible. Make a really beautiful game! They're capable of it!

But I feel that MIGHT require a new series altogether. Or maybe a new F-zero game or new Metroid game or Custom Robo or something. I want to see as many little details as possible!

The new Mario game looks fun 'cause CATS!

I felt like the new Mario Kart 8 looks a lot like Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed...but then I guess it's still a lot like Mario Kart 8.

I'd like to see a new Mystical Ninja game...>3> There is so much potential for those games. Although there was a recent one, they tried to keep with the medieval japan feel...which is WRONG.

Mystical Ninja is a very colourful, funny, and playful game series. With all those colours it's easy to make a game with the technology now that would be wholly outstanding. Not only that, but most of the games have featured mini games or small activities or sidequests that I think would be really fun with online capabilities. It can be multiplayer again. It can have so many easter eggs and fun.

The music would be a challenge, but I feel like some remixes of some of the old songs would be best since they sound a bit too '90's...Maybe?

Look at that. If they updated it to nowadays, I can't even begin to imagine how great this game would be. (Don't watch the whole thing unless you want to, of course! XD Just look at the game play)

The one problem with the series is that it is very Japanese so it might not appeal to westerners. Culture shock, maybe. Which I think is a poor complaint. I played the series when I was too young to understand what Japan was and I LOVED this game.

Bah...this series....So much love...<333

One more thing to talk about....

Pokemon X and Y! :D

It's very intimate, I worry about the story...O.o; But it may be a REALLY good thing! But we can see the main character so closely that I want there to be a customization feature for them...;m; But that probably won't happen! XD

There's a new pokemon type! :D It's FAIRY TYPE.

Sounds sorta lame...but it's super effective against Dragon and at first I was skeptical then I realize 'FINALLY! I don't know WHAT to do when faced against a dragon pokemon!'...'orz Ice is...and Dragon....Pehh, ice. I dislike Ice type pokemon...>3> Ice, bug, and poison are not my favourites.

So if ice bug and poison exist it's totes fine to have a fairy type! :D

So the new Eevee type is fairy type. That's great and all...but there isn't a ghost type, dragon type, steel type, rock type, bug type, flying type, ground type, poison type, or fighting type Eevee and I'd really like to see an Eevee of every type of pokemon...;3; But now we have an Eevee of a NEW type...feehhh

I do actually like the petting and taking care of feature of the new X and Y games mainly because they SAY there are those features in the other games, but all you do is tap the pokemon....How is that petting at all? So boring! I liked those small extra games where you got to take care of pokemon, but I never bought them 'cause there not really worth my time...It's nice that it's just a feature in the new game!

I feel like the new games from Nintendo are much bigger than before. Just look at the new Fire Emblem game! There is soo much to do! You can continue battling and having fun with the game even when you're pretty much complete in your story.

I like how things are going! I hope for a continuously bright future for Nintendo~! <333
