Art Rant + Some other stuff
Let's start with some other stuff since I'm in a good mood...even though this 'some other stuff' isn't good stuff...O.o;
Today my brother and almost all of the other seniors (there were a few seniors still at school) went on their senior trip to some amusement park. A lot of the teachers went, too, and apparently there was only one substitute today so my English class had no teacher and my Chinese class had no teacher. For my English class we just went to the cafeteria, but for my Chinese class I had to ask one of the teachers to find a teacher for my class (there may have been only 3 students, but I feel awkward having no teacher and being in a class with people I don't really like...>.>). I hope my Chinese teacher is back tomorrow, though, I have that picture I have to give her! TT^TT
My brother has also called several times that he has gotten sick even before he went on the rides...I feel bad for him...he probably missed a fun day...>.> He's still there. He won't come home until practically midnight...O.o; Well, so my friend says.
Okay, now onto the rant! XD
I missed the Art Show for my school, which I wanted to go to, but I didn't know it was as soon as last weekend! TT^TT I got an honorable mention on my LM.C Maya pic! XD That just makes me very happy...not exactly sure why (but I think you guys could better articulate this...I can't speak...'orz).
Anyways, I'd like to write a long speech or something about this. I might, and post it on theO or something. I know a lot of us have heard these kinds of comments and discrimination against manga, but I seriously don't understand it. What makes realism any better than manga? In fact, I think realism takes less skill, less creativity, less of everything. Manga takes real skill. Well, good manga, at least.
One of the kids in my art class asked for 'any constructive criticisms' over our art from the art show and my teacher said that there were a few little things she doesn't remember, but most of them made one thing clear that they don't understand why she allowed them to put in their 'anime' (it bothers me when people use the term 'anime'...>.> Anime comes from the word 'animation'...so if it's not animated it's not 'anime'!) into the art show because that's not 'real art'. Then my teacher said that she AGREED and that manga is CHILDISH.
No it's not, not at all. I don't think children would be looking at pictures of nude people having sex (in a design-y sort of style). I don't think children would be looking at pictures of little girls with their nipples ripped off. I don't think children would be looking at pictures of a guy chasing girls with an erection. I don't think children would be looking at pictures of piles of nude women climbing all over each other, I don't think children would be looking a picture of girls wearing the flesh of cats. I could go on (I actually thought of posting these pictures...but considering I don't think most people would want to see them and they're inappropriate I didn't, though they are very beautiful). No. Children do not want to look at the majority of 'anime' art!
I didn't when I was little. Heck, the majority of the sites were blocked (because I had parental controls). The majority of 'anime' art is not appropriate for children, so that statement has no foundation what-so-ever it is just the ignorance of the teacher not knowing anything about actual manga.
Now, she could have been talking about most of the art that my friends put in the art show. Most of my friends trace pictures, which I disagree with, but I don't want to insult them so I say nothing. It is childish using art from Kingdom Hearts and saying it is your own. Especially since Kingdom Hearts is a kids game with Disney characters.
But you know what. Disney's artists are ARTISTS.
I do understand that most colleges do not accept 'anime' art (except some colleges...>:3 <333) in their applications, and I know better than to show them my more manga styled art, unless it has a really intricate design or something...or is an example of concept art (yes, I want to go to a college that offers courses for concept artists). This isn't college, though. This is high school, and most high school art is crap (eh, sorry no offense, I'm totally including my art in this by the way!), so just deal with the art you get in the art show. Saying that something that really is art shouldn't have been in an art show is an INSULT. It is an insult to me, personally, and I'm sure anybody else who does art like I do.
I personally am not an artist who does a lot of symbolic pictures and all that jazz, my focus has always been on drawing in a manga style and I don't really know any artists that I actually like that aren't in a slight manga style.
I can appreciate other people's art styles, why can't they appreciate mine?

Tomorrow is Tuesday, then after that it's Wednesday, and then after that it's testing on Thursday and Friday and then after that DONE~! X3 I'm EXCITED! >:D
Then I get about 2 weeks of a break before I head off of Academic Team Camp..."orz
Oh! And how you ya guyz like the new theme-ish thing of this? The theme is blocks! :D No, it's not...the theme is 'new theme' and I'm being serious on this. The theme reminds me of a new day~! ^ ^
Oh! Oh! I really like how the combination of Rin and Miku's voice sounds in this song:
I might say that this would be what Ran's voice would sound like...but then again...maybe it should sound differently.

There one of the few actual rock bands I like (visual kei is its own genre! It may have guitars, but that doesn't mean it's rock). I think it may be that I like FLCL and I listened to most of their songs when I was little and I had good memories of their songs.
I also really liked Porno Graffiti when I was little:
Though I listened to one song that I didn't like so then I thought I was listening to something else, but nope, I do like Porno Graffiti! XD I don't remember what I listened to back then, though...>.> I don't know what genre they are, though...O.o;
I also LOVE this band:
Everything I love! The loud music, the fast beat, the crazy guitars, and the bored sounding voice! XD I dunno why, I just like that bored sounding voice, it has a nice ring to it in rock bands. I don't like hardcore singing in rock songs, it makes it seem too whiny-boy or just boring...
Well...there ARE a lot of rock bands I like, but they all have that same kind of sound...or that feel...they all have the bored sounding voice, which I love and loud sounds, except Every Little Thing...but I don't like some of their more rock songs...>.>
It also seems common for me to like bands where the main singers have messy hair in their eyes (for guys) or short bob-ish cut (for girls).

I found something to do! Besides making this post!
I planned on making this post in the first place, anyways.
I finished my picture for my Chinese teacher and I took pictures of other things, too...XD
The picture in the top left is of a paper chibi of Piko that my friend made me! He's so adorable! Unfortunately I smashed him, but you can see that well from this picture, it's mostly from the side that you can see the smashes.
The picture of the cake next to is of the store bought cake we got for my mom for her birthday...it was a very pitiful birthday cake...for some reason we didn't have the number candles for '53' so my dad put 5 candles on one side and then 3 on the other and then some random candles at the bottom...and it just doesn't make any sense nor does it look good...'orz
The big picture is the picture I made for my Chinese teacher. I'm not exactly sure if the picture is supposed to be of her or not, I just wanted to draw her clothes...though I think I need to fix her jacket 'cause it looks weird...it's supposed by made out a jean fabric, but it looks like some other fabric in bright blue. And her pants turned out weird, mostly because I don't have enough purples.
I want to re-make this world's design...but I can't think of a theme that I want...but I'll come up with something that features this world's mascot~! :D Though...it would make more sense for me to be the mascot...but still...let's say they're an anime-ish version of me...O.o; The essence of me.
Oh! What I've been wanting to post for a while (but I kept forgetting) was this song:
I love this video and song! *.* I really like Chisato, he's probably my favourite member of Penicillin and he has a really cool style. If only he was making more music like this...>.> I think he looks really cool in this video. It's like a video representing the '90's, and I loved the '90's, so it's very awesome.
I watched the Fellowship of the Ring again...every time I watch the Lord of the Rings it makes me think of Fire Emblem or The Legend of Zelda and how much I wish there were movies of them...and good movies...Then I wish I was a director...but I'm not.
I guess I could be a director, but I don't really have any plans for being educated as a director...I hear most of those really good directors started when they were young...since I don't plan on that I probably would never been a good director...but I would probably tell the cast and staff that in order to make a good movie they need to cooperate with me 100% and even if I seem mean or like a jerk I'm just trying to make a great movie, and who doesn't want a great movie? And we'd probably use a lot of cheap effects...by cheap I mean simple and not costly effects, but look as good as the expensive CGI effects that they do in most Hollywood movies.
But if someone were to make a Fire Emblem or Zelda movie I wonder what the plot would be. Usually since there are more than one game they opt for a completely new and different story, I think it'd be more interesting using the plot from one of the games. Like an Ocarina of Time movie...
I'd actually rather watch a Wind Waker movie. I think that'd be more interesting as a movie. I thought about Ocarina and Time and realized a lot of the plot points are great for the gameplay, but not so much for a movie.
Then Fire Emblem...is too long...nah, they could make a movie of it.

I think it's either because I slept too late or I didn't sleep long enough. Sleep is very big for me.
When I woke up my mom was listening to the audio for her books and I don't want to listen to it at all, but no matter how much I tried to cover my ears I could still hear it...
What an uninspiring story! I don't want to hear any story that talks about being the an old country home and all this bible stuff...I dunno why my mom likes it so much. I think it's the writing but...bleck...
I need some Count of Monte Cristo...

I downloaded the OST 'cause it has some pretteh good songs. They're creepy, but pretty...
Except, I was listening to the stage songs and I was listening to this one:
I thought all the numbered door room thingies were kinda boring, this one had the scary 'chill and rigor' part in it! I don't remember hearing that! You can hear it a bit towards the end part...at 1:24...SCARY! TT^TT Evil creepy sound...why do you torment me so!? And whoever did the music for that is a GENIUS! They need to make a scary movie or a movie version of 999 or something with that sound...TT^TT
I had an idea for a one shot...and I wrote it down everything that would happen and I had this idea in my head for a while and it wouldn't be that hard to do since it takes place in a game world and I can do whatever with that.
But I feel it may be too much like 999...and it's very long.
It's about these people who are put in this game of life and death. They have to find which one of them is the CPU, but nobody knows who it is. All the players except for the CPU have 9 lives, the CPU only has 1. They have 9 hours to destroy the CPU and win the game or else they'll all be destroyed by the CPU, like insta destruction.
It would be called 9 lives...And it has the guy and girl buddy thingy like in Battle Royale and 999...so I feel it may be too much like 999...so maybe I should just have them all with 1 life to move it along and call it CPU or something...
Maybe that'd work better...'cause I just realized I had another oneshot idea about 9 lives! XD
I'll try and make some more one shot ideas so I can ask you guys what to choose...because I want to do this one, but then I don't because it's so long...
Most of my ideas are psychological, though...>.>
I have lots of romance ideas...but I'm not exactly sure how to give them enough story or any conflicts. Like I have one where this model falls in love with some random guy at this one school, but I can't think of why they would be in love with him and how this would be shown...>.>

I love how this artist draws faces! I like their black and white better than their coloured 'cause their coloured kinda makes me feel uncomfortable...dunno, why, but they still have GORGEOUS art.

This person is probably one of my most favourite artists. I just love the style that the draw...well...everything...And I love their really sketchy pieces (most of their pieces are pretty sketchy, so it's all good!

I really love how this artist colours! *.* They use a lot of red and I really like it 'cause I really like red~!
This is another one of my very favourite of favourite artists. I dunno what I like about them...maybe the movement...the colour...I don't know what it is, it's just really awesome! *.*
I love the out of the box look of all this artist's drawings. I love the clothing designs and the hair styles and just the overall style. Yet, I can't look at their art for too long or I'll get bored with it...>.>
I love how this artist colours! It just has such an interesting and clean look, even though it's not ridiculously clean!
einlee is most likely my favourite internet artist when it comes to color. They colour too beautifully! *.* I love light shines or whatever you call them in coloring! They look so pretty all the time!

I'm excited, but also nervous 'cause of so much 'wait until the end of the year' kind of stuff...TT^TT
But I will try to learn a bunch over the summer and do a freaking one shot! GRAGH! It annoys me that I never did one.
I do have a good one that's finished and all...the writing for it, but visual kei is very hard to draw! They have all those details and those instruments...I think I should practice how to draw instruments and people holding things first...
Oh! Oh! I just happened upon /ucifer...which I swear I've already seen before...maybe that was a different /ucifer because I remember seeing that name and downloading a song from the, but then I watched they music videos and heard their music and it was not at all the same as the song I downloaded or had watched before...O.o;

Afro Weakness...TT^TT
Okay...I dunno if it's really an afro, but I think of it as one...
I voted for Spike Spiegel, knowing how great Luffy is...but I just love Spike for some reason...and I really have no reason except I like the way he looks and acts and that the English voice actor for him voiced Tom and I LOVE Tom!
It seems to be a running gag in Kuragehime that everyone seems to have a afro weakness so they always help out Banba-san! XD I've got one, too! XD I really like Kuragehime because EVERYTHING I can agree with/relate to...except for Jiji-san...she's...creepy...
But I sometimes flail my arms like Mayaya-san...XD
