I'm only on chapter 71 of Ouran...and VERY far in Until Death Do Us Part (I think I'm on chapter 11) and same for Bakuman and SEVERAL other manga...It's killing me...TT^TT
But I'm beginning to not like Ouran anymore...Well, I liked it up to where I am right now. Right now...I'm thinking 'Why isn't this over already?' I'm getting fed up with this unknown stuff. Hurry up and let all be known and end it already. I know how popular this is, and I know that most manga like Naruto and stuff that is really popular will keep getting serialized and stuff, but sometimes things have to end.
Like The Cosby Show, if it kept going on and on until Cliff died...well...wouldn't that be...a bit of over kill? I don't want to watch EVERY aspect of their life. Don't show me EVERYTHING! Let me have a bit of fantasy in my head. The more a series goes the more I lose interest in it and the more I question why they're even putting that in.
There are a few that COULD go on for a long time, but that has to do with the plot and the different things that are affected by that. For instance, Deadman Wonderland could go on and on and on. Why? Because first of all, we have the crazy Tamaki, and the super powerful Shiro so he could do anything with Shiro and there can always be stabbing in the back. Then there's the other inmates, there's tons of those, something bad could happen and they could all get out into the public or something. The other thing about that is that there in a SUPER JAIL with tourism and carnival rides and stuff, so if we saw more of the way the public sees the place, that could also go on. Then if you haven't noticed that pictures of Deadman Wonderland, that place is HUGE. There are things for tourism, and things for the inmates, and tons of other things.
They've been underground the entire time, I think that they can move up a bit for another part of the story. There are more questions about the jail to ask and to be answered, and there are most places to go. There are more inmates to encounter, and more plots from Tamaki. There are more and more secrets behind secrets to be revealed. TONS of stuff. It's just started, but more things seem to have happened in the first 20 chapters than any other manga I've read and more things can happen off of that.
But for Ouran there's...Hikaru and Haruhi...and then Kaoru and Haruhi...and then Tamaki and Haruhi, and we see how they try to go along with all this. Unless they put in Kyoya and Haruhi, or Haninozuka and Haruhi, or even Morinozuka and Haruhi....it's pretty boring right now since we all know what's going on right now and all we need is a confession. Yes, there's the whole Suoh thing...which has nothing to do with the plot anyways, it's just stuff about Tamaki that could be interesting to know. Shoujo manga can't go on forever. Because there's always going to be a couple in the end that love eachother, we just have to wait for them to realize their feelings, and then it's done. I REALLY do not want to see them get married and have children with a few bumps every now and then....Those are for sitcoms...I don't want to read a manga that goes that far into somebody's life.
For Naruto, there's also tons of different things to do, so it's fine going on forever. And the same for some other manga. But I've found that Bakuman, as good as the writers are (and they can probably pull it off), it can't go on forever. It's just not that kind of manga. Yes, it's a life manga or whatever, but somewhere down the road it's going to get REALLY old and there isn't much you can do that can keep the readers satisfied. You can make one of the main characters move to another country or something, or they develop a new hobby or something, but that's just going to ruin somebody's thought of the manga. Like if their favourite character was the one that was moving, and then because of that everything went downhill, that reader is going to be depressed, hate the manga, and will stop reading it.
So I think mangaka should be more concerned with the length of their manga than just making manga. Death Note is a perfect example of a manga that could've gone on forever, but didn't, and now it turns out to be a REALLY good manga.
Speaking of manga that should and shouldn't end. Chocolat shouldn't end YET. Just two more volumes, PLEASE! THEY PROMISED US THEY'D END IT AT 10 VOLUMES! But they stop the serialization, or it's hiatus. DON'T DO THAT! If you're going to finish a manga SOON FINISH IT ALREADY, and don't stop short!
Here's a good point. If you're making a manga, plan on how long it's going to be and make sure you don't go too overboard or too under so that you mess with the readers.
Future mangaka! You need to pay attention to your readers. Actually, that goes for anybody wanting to make a series of any kind, novels, tv shows, movies, anything. MAKE SURE YOUR AUDIENCE DOESN'T GET DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. You will be killing your readers (not literally, just hurting their feelings). For instance, my brother USED TO love Berserk, but now he hates it because it went on for soooo long that when the mangaka started getting into weeaboo things that completely messed up the storyline (apparently). There's an example of a manga that could go on forever, went on too long, and now is going downhill, but there is still no end in sight.
Yep.
I've got nothing else to say about that! XD
Oi! More music time! ^ ^
\
Okay, so this isn't really focusing on the music, though it IS a music video, I don't care about the music....It's the video...The video is amazing. I mean, I've seen this before, but it never went such a far distance...O.o And did so many things...O.o I really like this video! ^ ^
Yet another video where I wasn't paying attention to the music! XD LOOK AT THAT GUY!! OMIGOD!! HE LOOKS SO WEIRD!! But that's interesting, but I hope he's not hurting himself. He looks like a stylized person...It's a bit creepy...Wouldn't want to meet him in real life, but that's really interesting...O.O Doesn't he look like somebody drew him and he came to life!? Really it soooo looks like that to me! O.O *stares*
I can't stop listening to this song! TT^TT It's just so awesome!! 'cept the singer is going a bit nuts in the video...O.o Don't you think he could do some other moves than moving up and down? I also think that the voice that the singer usually sings in isn't real. I mean, he's singing it, but I think he's trying to sound like Shou or something. Because the parts where he sings 'wakaranai' and parts like it...I think that's his real voice. And I really like it, but when he has the parts where he isn't singing that where he's just on the main melody...I don't really like his voice...I wonder if a lot of visual kei singers do that, because I lot of them sound the same. Except for the singer of DaizyStripper, he's the only one who sounds unique enough. His voice is really high pitched. And the singer for Aicle.
WOAH! AICLE!
Now he seems to be one of the only visual kei (or even japanese) guys I've seen that REALLY acts gay. Like he's actually trying to be a girl instead of his own kind of person (like the others in visual kei). And his voice is probably not that high pitched. But what do I know, I'm really know to this band so I could be wrong about all my assumptions. Still...he's weird to me...O.o
Wow...none of those videos (except for one) had to do with music...They may be MUSIC videos, but that's not what I was paying attention to! XD
