I was watching the videos for STAR audition (which I have been following from the beginning! >:D) for the next Korean pop star. In my opinion it's either this guy:
Or this girl:
I'm rooting for the girl 'cause...that's just boring having a worldwide audition for the next Korean pop star and it's a Korean singer...>3> There's a bit of trouble with the girl, though, 'cause she's already a composer and a producer, but let her do what she wants! >3>
Now, the 'what the heck is this' part. I also saw some article on some video where this girl was singing really well...well, it was like an audition for other singers. So, like I always do, I compared it to the Star auditions and they were terrible! TT^TT And the girl that was supposed to knock my socks off with her voice, was doing the frog yelling thing like most singers nowadays in america. I REALLY hate that singing voice. No, that's not even singing, that's just yelling with a frog voice.
Those above are singing that lady was NOT singing. I closed the tab I had it opened in so I can remember where I found it...O.o;
I actually didn't think that STAR audition would be that good because the people who got in at first weren't THAT good, but I have to remember that it was the 1st round and then it gets tougher from then. And they really narrowed it down to some really good singers.
Except, they put some Canadian guy in it (who strangely looks really similar to my friend...O.o; ) and his audition video had him singing in the really common male rock singing voice...that's like weird and whiny. It sounded good, kind of, but I don't see him being popular in Korea...and then he sang in Korean...and, as the judges said, he was really weak. Though one of the judges said that his weak parts were the most...I can't remember, but something about them sounding really good. But I didn't really think that.
He's good, but compared to the above, I don't think he's going to win. But good job for him getting far.
