I made a (very messy) picture of all the artists I've loved throughout the years to see how they've changed.
A lot of them I still love, but no so much for others:
I like to do these things...with my favourite artists...XD Just for excuses to go back and look at their art...>3>
When I was little I just liked whatever artist I had the manga of. Except for Yuu Watase...I remember I saw some picture by her (I didn't know it was her until a few months ago...XD), but I would always stare at the picture and try to imitate the style.
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is on there twice...I'll get to that later....but I remember when I was little I would always look up pictures of Sailor Moon and Evangelion art and then photoshop them so that the Sailor Senshi were wearing eva suits and the characters from NGE were wearing sailor scout uniforms. Which was how I learned to use photoshop~! :D
I also remember that I always had my desktop background as something from Evangelion.
Tweens include 12-14...even though I don't know if those are technically tweens, I didn't really have anything else to call them.
This was around the time I got more into theO and art on the computer, so my knowledge of different artists expanded.
I still liked the cutesy styled art but I was getting into more semi-realism. I liked more gothic stuff then, mostly visual kei stuff. I think this was around the time I really got into it (it's sad that I can't get back into it as much, even though I still really like it...>3>). I liked any artist who drew something about Alice in Wonderland...XD
Teen includes 14-16...I mean....late 14 to early 16...I'm more into self improvement so I like artists who are really good at what they do and have almost perfected the semi-realism style. I had to put JC Leyendecker on here just because he's the only non-anime artist that I love enough to say he's one my favourites because none of his art gives me any bad feelings.
And then the now...
Recently I've been REALLY into Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and Kinu Nishimura's art. I was looking at some .hack//gu (sp?) concept art and I really liked the style so I went to look at who did it....and it was Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, of COURSE...Kinu Nishimura has a kinda similar style with the skinny limbs and detailed clothing.
I'm getting more into shounen manga artists (actually, I've always been)...So if you guys have any shounen manga artist suggestions, please suggest away~! XD
I don't mind if you give me a manga, or if it's even an artist of stuff I don't like, like FMA or Naruto...Doesn't hurt to look at it...XD
If you'd like to know who any of the artists are please ask in the comments. I didn't put their names just because I talk about most of them TOO much and because there are a lot of well known artists on here (and some who are not so well known).
