Finally finished watching Utena.
I would've finished it earlier, but it was really getting on my nerves.
But the ending was SO FREAKING AMAZING! Why can't most things end this well?! The ending also reminded of the ending of Natsuko's Dinner Table (who was far less as powerful).
I'm going to try and finish Bunny Drop and Sengoku Basara tonight, too...maybe I'll comment about those endings. Just trying to finish off some of the things I've been watching and then stopping on.
I was also planning on watching the rest of Buzzer Beat, but that will have to wait for another day since the last episode special thing is 75 minutes long...;m; Episodes are too long, episodes are too long. Also what more is there to happen? I mean, a lot, but still...>3>
I also finished the drama of Boku to Kanojo no XXX...The drama itself was hilarious and light hearted and though it was really that good if I think about I could see a lot of potential in the director, he was very creative.
But the ending totally sucked. Nothing really happened.
Don't watch that drama. I mean, it was fun, but it's not really anything so special...Well, yeah, directing was rather fun, but because of that the acting looked so bad...O.o;
One more thing about Utena. AWESOME music at the very end. I mean, it was a simple change, but it sounded so cool! *3*
I just learned...I think yesterday....That Legend of Korra is getting a second season! YUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I'm incredibly happy about that~! >:D Getting out of Republic City eventually...
And I really really really really really really really hope (as I know many do) that Tahno comes back! I loved that guy from the very beginning when they were showing commercials for Korra and they showed him and I was all like 'That guys looks so awesome' and he was.
Wait...back to Utena...
My Opinion of the series as a whole!
I thought it was pretty okay. It was rather magical, but VERY repetitive. They could have totally condensed that series into maybe a 12 episode story because a lot of it was like 'What was the point of that entire time if we're never going to mention it again?' I speak of the second ark. What was the point of it?
Also something that really bothered me...I guess it was the forced symbolism or was it more of fan service? But the guys KEPT TAKING THEIR SHIRTS OFF!! WHY?! What is the purpose of taking your shirt off? No. They weren't even actually TAKING their shirts off, they were just magically off. Like one minute they're buttoned and then the next they're posing like they're a god with their shirts off/jackets unbuttoned.
I didn't like Akio at alllllllllll....at all. But I freaking freaking love Dios!
Maybe not the actual character, but his design. Every time I just saw a bit of him I'd fangirl my eyes out. This is probably what got me to finish it because of the thought 'What if I see him again in the last episode?' and I did~! :D But still not enough.
But...Dios looks a lot like several the anime guys I fangirl about...hrmm...
