Nah, nah...just seriously making a comment on gaming...
Mainly just Pewdiepie.
Originally I thought Pewdiepie was seriously stupid, overreacted to everything, but I've realized...I like his videos because he keeps with a common theme and BECAUSE he overreacts.
I personally love let's plays. This is because I'm cheap and want to see these games without playing them (XD), because I'm terrible at playing video games, and because I am very accustomed to watching people play video games since my brother rarely let me play when I was little so I do like watching people play video games.
What makes me want to watch Pewdiepie is that he's distracting. He's so hilarious and random the entire time that I forget I'm watching somebody play a terrifying horror game. I wouldn't even be able to touch a horror game if it weren't for him.
I actually had watched several let's plays of horror games...but...they guys rarely ever talked when I needed them (;m;). But Pewdiepie is constantly talking.
Now a comment on let's plays.
A lot of people question of the point of let's plays...and for me I like watching them mainly because I like watching video games play out like movies. I know it's all about the experience of playing the game, but I freak out at the smallest things...I love videogames, but I'm incredibly bad at playing them, so it's much more fun to watch somebody who knows what they're doing. I play games to fool around, if I wanted to see how you're suppose to play it I'd watch the let's play...so I do.
Now a comment on Pewdiepie's popularity.
For me he's just a way for me to watch horror game let's plays...but I don't particularly see his popularity compared to other let's play gamers who are actually VERY good at the games that they are playing. Pewdiepie annoys me at times because he gets stuck on the smallest of things and it's frustrating (particularly in Ib when he kept forgetting where he was...'orz) and also when he keeps repeating himself (I know he doesn't know it, but it's really freaky when he gets the same cutscenes like 5 times in a row and says the exact same things but in different ways or at different times...O.o; ) and he kept saying 'Penis' in Amnesia...wasn't too funny the first time, wasn't going to be funny the rest of the time. But I enjoy his relationships with Stephano and barrels...oh, and Mr.Chair...and pig...Yep.
What else is there to comment on?
Video games in general are not a waste of time because I've almost always learned something new from them.
One more thing to randomly comment on...XD
Kid's TV Shows. I like watching them, yeah, I'm not a kid, but kids weren't the ones who made them, adults were. Even though I'm not the focused audience, I can still learn to understand how it was made in the first place.
