Zero's Escape: Virtues Last Reward FINISHED! :D

Sorry for not replying or commenting on anything...I was glued (with super glue) to Zero's Escape: Virtues Last Reward...

And I finished it...but man am I disappointed...No Santa...;m;

But to renew my excitement for the games I read the Q&A on the official website with the director/writer of the games and Santa will be in the next one~! :D YAYYY!

With Phi there I assumed that she had some connection with Santa and we'd see some Santa for sure, but nope. Because of that the game was very unsatisfying and it also has an ending left wide open. I mean WIDE open. They keep telling you to go do such and such and you can't 'cause it's over...;3; The End.

But the writer said that he used the Enneagram types for both games.

999:

Achiever: Ace
Investigator: Snake
Enthusiast: Santa
Loyalist: Clover
Challenger: Junpei
Peacemaker: June
Helper: Seven
Individualist: Lotus
Reformer: The 9th Man

But he did not provide a list on VLR...soooo...I shall make my own comparison of characters! :D 'cause I thought about this leik 100% of the time I played the game. Who matches up with whom?

Ace - Sigma (This was a tough decision, but considering his character is actually quite a lot different than Junpei and seems to have slightly different styles of decision making I feel like he fits Ace's character better)
Snake - K
(Which is kinda strange if you have played the game why he would be so much like Snake and not another character...But he's a well mannered and thoughtful character like Snake(
Santa - Phi (because appearance and the fact that they are both busy and productive and snappy)
Clover - Clover (I mean I HOPE they are the same people...O.o;)
Junpei - Tenmyouji (I mean, if Junpei's the challenger, Tenmyouji matches up with that perfectly)
June - Luna (though their characters aren't at all the same, on the surface they are)
Seven - Quark (I mean, they're both really nice)
Lotus - Alice (Appearnce-wise and because they are pretty much the same character...O.o;)
The 9th Man - Dio (Perhaps because they are both sort of cowardly? I'm not sure, but I feel pity and hate for both of them...XD I don't really know how to compared the 9th man since he wasn't really much a character)

Yep, those are just my opinions and what I have concluded...

Now this third game...omigosh....I want it already...I just want to be able to see into the future to see Santa again...;m;

Well, now that I'm done with that I can concentrate on productive things~! :D I will be continuing my work on Idolling, which has really grown on me to become really fun to do. I just worry about the point when I get to screen toning, so you might see a lot of posts of screen toning so that I can get used to it and not shut down when I get to it...'orz

But it's going along swimmingly besides these 3 days of nothingness. Swimmingly, but slowly...I'm taking my time to make sure it all looks how I want it and I feel good about what I did. I might be a tad bit darker stylistically mainly because shoujo has a lot of tones and brightness that...I'm not particularly good at emulating...O.o; Using lots of blacks and strong shadows and angles is more my style and I feel if I try to make it something else then it would hurt me like it did with the first chapter because, as you can see from the first chapter my style isn't exactly something I normally draw.

It was an almost chibified style with no noses...EGAD! HOW COULD I NOT HAVE DRAWN NOSES?! I lovezz noses! ;3;

So the next chapter will look pretty much completely different...XD

Back to enneagram types. I actually use these a lot to come up with character personalities...but I forgot the actual purpose of them. Thanks to Uchikoshi I've now realized that I've been using them wrong and I hope to use them to my advantage in writing.

Something that never occurred to me...that stereotypes are good. That for the reader to connect to the story they need to be presented a stereotype to hang on to which will inevitably be changed when given more information about the character. That is really great advice that I've never though of.

This will make story writing much easier! ;w;

I still really want to make a one-shot manga in a shounen/seinen style...

Also that shounen manga contest...I feel like I won't get anything in 'cause I really can't think of anything. When it comes to shounen I shut down for some reason...And I really hate that 'cause I really really really want to like shounen, but I just can't get myself to like it.

Now, with anime it's different because they have to show it to a wide audience. It's not like they can just subscribe to get that one type of show, it's actually fairly random. So with anime they have to blend the demographics.

But with manga it's pretty much black and white (oh, puns). You're either shounen or you're seinen. It's pretty obvious to see the difference.

I actually thought of one last night, but I can't seem to remember it and it really pains me....;3; I make the excuse that I forgot it because I was being attacked by a moth and couldn't concentrate and my mind is now filled with that moth instead of my idea...'orz

But that's not fair to the moth.

But the wayyy...MOTH STORY! :D

There was one night that I slept on the couch. I saw a centipede in my room earlier that day and there were tons of other bugs in my room at night, so I slept on the couch.

The next night I was determined to sleep my bed because the couch was not comfortable, so I did. I could see there were some bugs in my room, but they were far enough away from me that I didn't care 'cause I was sleepy. I went to bed under the covers. Then I heard the moth flying around. I didn't really care THAT much, I felt fairly safe under my covers. BUT THEN I heard this rustling sound like something walking across the floor. I thought 'Oh, my cat's gonna get the moth' then I remembered I don't have a cat...;m; I kept hearing rustling rustling, then the flapping of the moth's wings. I assumed then that the moth was crashing into things. But then I heard rustling and no flapping of the mother's wings so I ran to the couch and slept that and I had a terrible sleep.

Then the next day my mom bought me some bug away spray (why can't we just get the exterminator to come?! UGH!!) so I used that and sprayed all over my room until I smell like the spray. I slept very well that night.

But last night I assumed that the bug spray killed the moth and I even cleaned my room and found no moth. I even left the lights on and no moth came to the light, yet...I heard it again...

By then I realized that the rustling sound was the moth moving around on the floor 'cause it was slowly dying. But if it was slowly dying, why at night? Why didn't it die the first night I heard the rustling sound.

Then the moth's flapping wings sounded fairly close to my ears so I panicked a bit. I heard it rubbing on glossy books which I knew were next to my bed and then I heard it fall onto my DDR dance pad which makes a very unique sound so I know for sure it fell there...

Yet...my dance pad was UNDER my bed. How could I hear the moth fall under my bed when it sounded like it was on my night table? There is not moth on my DDR dance pad.

Those glossy books next to my bed on my night stand? They were covered in computer paper so there was no way it could have made that rubbing sound.

Where the heck is this MOTH?! TT^TT Why does it only come out at night?!

Or am I just being paranoid 'cause of VLR and the crazy music in that game...

Well, my story is done...

So lemme finish this post off with music that could have contributed to this bug paranoia.

This song is so freaking terrifying. There was a common symbol of a lion eating the sun and when I listen to this I try to think of a lion making that rawring sound, but instead I keep seeing a golem like creature...XD

Oh! On scariness levels...I felt like 999 was scarier 'cause VLR...I mean, you die from being injected with poison, but before that you get a powerful anesthetic so you die fairly peacefully...999 you just exploded...That pretty freaky. Not only that you're on an abandoned ship and you don't have the freedom to go through doors. Not only that but Clover is really really freaky in 999.

Though the music in VLR is scarier it's not as emotionally disturbing as in 999.

OKIEDOKE~! ADIOS!!
