I went to the Mott mansion last saturday and took pictures of my lovely new outfit!
Yes, I am standing in front of a giant frog statue.
My sister and I went to our first lolita meet-up today! I wore this same outfit. We went apple picking at an apple orchard, then later the rest of the girls (there were seven of us all together) went to a potluck at one of their houses, we couldn't go because of distance. Though it was enjoyable, I can't say it was fun at all. The girls already knew each other, so we were (completely) left out. They were also rather immature, considering that we are 16 and they in their 20's? The girls cussed like drunken sailors (despite the fact that there were kids around) and took pictures of every rotten apple they could find (talk about stupid). I got a couple of apples (four or five) stuck between my massive heels, and they made sure to get pictures of that. I wish more pictures were taken of the girls and our outfits rather than apples? I wanted ever so bad to ride on the wagon ride, but they didn't even acknowledge my attempts to get us all on the ride.
after this, I have a few tips for any ladies who are planning a meet-up:
- Make all of the guests feel welcome.
- Don't do a potluck at someones house. After all, being dressed up, go out to show off.
- If you do a potluck, make sure it isn't an hour long drive from the meet-up location. Some lolis may have already driven an hour to get there, and more driving for them is too much of a hastle.
- Choose a place to eat that is near the meet-up location.
- Did I forget about making ALL of the guests feel welcome?
Should I rate the meet-up?
