Well I finally found a truck to start working on. I bought a 2000 Dodge Dakota 5 speed off a craigslist for $1,800 on December 21, 2013. Haven't been able to do much work on it since the days following have been raining all day. I hope to get my crazy project done in 4-6 months.
There are two dents in the truck bed but we think that was due to a load sliding forward then backwards. The back bumper needs to be replaced but that is a simple unbolt and bolt new one in. Everything electrical works and there is only one mechanical issue with that truck. The linkage between the shifter and transfer case to engage the 4x4 is missing. However, that is an easy fix and I should be able to get that fixed before the end of the week. I shall be keeping track of my work on here and putting up pictures.
