Truck Project - Cab Interior

Part 3: Seat Removal

Part 5: Front End

So on Saturday December 28 I did some more work on my truck. The first thing I did was tape some plastic bags over some exposed wire connectors that were originally under the bed since it was going to rain Sunday. After that I went to work on finishing the interior of the cab.

Started with the removal of the back folding bench seat. With them removed I was able to take the back trim panel off and worked my way around to the sides. I had some trouble getting the seat belt torque bolts out but got them eventually with the assistance of my father.

The last piece to get removed from there was the bottom storage area under the seats. Which turned out to hide some broken glass. We figured this came from the back window when it got replaced from being hit with the load that bent the back of the cab and the tailgate. After that I crawled underneath the truck and loosen the four cab mounting bolts. This was just to have them loose so I could use an impact driver to completely remove them when the time came.

As it was getting dark out I was finishing up removing the 4x4 shifter and the transmission shifter and cover from the cab floor. So now with that out of the way the only thing left to do with the cab removal is disconnect the steering column and the wire harnesses connected to the fire wall.
