Truck Project - Front End

Navigational Device

Part 4: Cab Interior

Part 6: Dash Removal

So I am a little behind on updating my process on the truck dismantle. I have been working on the trunk till it snowed here about a week and a half ago. So before that I was able to get the front bumper off after having a little trouble. (I removed the wrong bolts and took me a moment to figure that out.)

With that off I started with the removal of various pieces in the engine compartment. The battery, battery holder, and engine air intake with the air filter was all removed relatively easy. The trouble started when I began trying to remove the wheel well liner. Those little plastic pegs they use are a bitch to remove with out breaking them. Well my dad and I broke pretty much all of them. lol

From there I started removing the fenders and began on the passenger side first. There is less components that are mounted to the fender on the inside. That is now removed as a well as the driver side fender. The hood is still on currently to give some cover from the snow and rain.

The next step is to begin disconnecting all the wires and hoses that run into the cab. As well as eventually disconnecting the steering column. I shall get picture up eventually but work is at a stand still for the moment until the weather warms up.
