Part 8: Rear Shock Replacement
Howdy everyone! Hopefully everyone is doing well and all. Well today it was a nice day and I was able to get outside and do some work on my truck. I don't have any new pictures for you since everything done today was a lot of small hard to see things.
Here is a list of what was completed:
-Removed brake booster
-Removed clutch cylinder from firewall
-Disconnected interior wire bundle
-Removed interior wire bundle from firewall
-Disconnected acceleration cable and pulled through firewall
-Depressurized air condition and removed connections to firewall
-Disconnected windshield wiper fluid hose
-Disconnected hood release
So the only things left connected to the cable is the emergency brake, wiper blade power cable and two anti-freeze hoses. After they are disconnected we can removed the cab bolts and off with the cab. We plan to steal, borrow a little bulldozer from a local greenery and use it to lift the cab up and off the frame. Still have to ask permission and if they have a trailer for it. Otherwise someone will have to drive it down a few side roads and on the main road for a couple miles to where the truck is. Should be interesting and fun at the same time.
I may work on it tomorrow depending on weather. However I have been told different possibilities for what tomorrow may be like so I will just to have see. After I get my next paycheck I will probably be order some new exhaust headers to replace the rusted and busted existing manifolds.
Slowly but surely I am making progress and soon y'all will be able to see pictures of the final projects. Well until then have a good night/day everyone.
