Hey y'all,
Well it is finally Friday and I am excited about that. Should be able to get some work done finally on the truck again. A neighbor has agreed to come and try using his tractor just not sure if it can go high enough. So will be leaving work a bit early today for that.
Funny / interesting event happened on Monday. Around 8:00 P.M. I ran out of gas on my way home in my new/old Jeep. The gas gauge does not really work to well. The needle jumps around due to probably something wrong with the float in the tank. But I wasn't sure what was going on at first. I down shifted to see if the engine was running to high which seemed to work, for a few seconds. SO then a pulled off the road and shut her down.
Good news was I was prepared for this. Walked to the back unlocked the spare tire holder and pushed it aside to get to the gas can in the back. So I sat there for a few minutes putting about a gallon or so into the tank before locking everything and trying again.
Started up and ran fine and made my way to the next gas station to re-fill the gas can and fill the Jeep to a half a tank. The funny part was my neighbor had mentioned that most older Jeeps gas needle will do that as well as a family friend asked where my Jerry Cans where.
So I now can give back the spare gas can to my parents so they can have it for the lawn mower since I have my two cans now. Well that was about the only exciting thing to happened this week so far.
