*stumblefallcollapse* Yeah! Made it. Hello, Interwebs!

Salvete, Omnia! Or hello you all, for those that prefer undead languages. I'm the Mai-Mai! It's very nice to meet everyone! Let's see, I'm a college fishie and a proud Buckeye! English is my major of choice (so by all means, correct my grammar. I ENJOY it!). I'm also a notorious cosplayer and a high-pitched fangirl in many instances. Cosplay video! I play Roxas.

However, I'm much better known as Pikachu. Here's one of the pictures from a cosplay photoshoot I participated in for my anime club's calendar.

My favorite series of anime and/or manga consists of (in nothing particularly resembling order)- Gundam Wing, Pokemon, DeathNote, Prince of Tennis, the Demon Ororon, Library War, Little Butterfly, Appleseed, and Baccano. Though, naturally, I quite adore many others.

So yes! Enjoy your stay here. I love meeting people and making friends, so drop me some sort of line! I try to respond regularly. Luff and pocky!

Intro of sorts, pocky, and schoolgirl uniforms.

Tadaaaaa! It's a magical first post on theOtaku! *wiggles fingers* Hrmm. What to say?

As a freshman, I attended my first anime club meeting as a college student yesterday! They did it right, playing plenty of obscure things I hadn't seen and a few popular ones I've wanted to see. All legal copies too, which is good since that's something I'm trying to do after a VERY convincing panel with Greg Ayres at animeFEST. We watched Hide and Seek (which was creepy), Higurashi (which was AWESOME!), Voices of a Distant Star (which made me sad and happy my texts to my boyfriend don't take six months to eight years to send...), and a movie called Paprika (which was so trippy it was spectacular). I went in my Prince of Tennis cosplay (since I will take literally ANY excuse to cosplay, particularly in public), and made an instant impression on the officers by doing so. They invited me to be in their annual cosplay calendar too, which just sounds like a spectacular amount of fun! We all ate pocky and it was generally AWESOME.

And tonight I did something interesting. I was invited to a gay bar by my roomie, to see her uncle (formerly her aunt, to answer any questions) perform in a drag show. Because of the fact that school just started, the theme was "Hot for Teacher." It was so much fun! And I kid you not, two dragqueens came out in Japanese schoolgirl outfits and did the Hari Hari Yukai dance. For serious. It was crazy!

So, again, hello everyone! I wish I had something more interesting to say, but I'm tired and a tad sick... I'll go to bed now and hopefully reappear with far more enthusiasm! WOO!
