*stumblefallcollapse* Yeah! Made it. Hello, Interwebs!

Salvete, Omnia! Or hello you all, for those that prefer undead languages. I'm the Mai-Mai! It's very nice to meet everyone! Let's see, I'm a college fishie and a proud Buckeye! English is my major of choice (so by all means, correct my grammar. I ENJOY it!). I'm also a notorious cosplayer and a high-pitched fangirl in many instances. Cosplay video! I play Roxas.

However, I'm much better known as Pikachu. Here's one of the pictures from a cosplay photoshoot I participated in for my anime club's calendar.

My favorite series of anime and/or manga consists of (in nothing particularly resembling order)- Gundam Wing, Pokemon, DeathNote, Prince of Tennis, the Demon Ororon, Library War, Little Butterfly, Appleseed, and Baccano. Though, naturally, I quite adore many others.

So yes! Enjoy your stay here. I love meeting people and making friends, so drop me some sort of line! I try to respond regularly. Luff and pocky!

Bowling For Soup says...

Come back to Texas! It's just not the same since you went away. Before you lose your accent. And forget all about the Lone Star state. There's a seat for you at the rodeo, and I've got every slow dance saved. Besides the Mexican food sucks north o...

Amusement...

So after listening to one of my normal!roomies argue continually with her boyfriend, I realized something. He's mad because she has a crush on a fictional character. He can't accept the fact that Harry Potter is FAKE and she KNOWS this, and...

Update on Mai-Mai's life seemed in order. XD I spent Thanksgiving in New York with my sister, and it was... Interesting. The Greyhound bus ride was made of FAIL!!! What was supposed to be a nine hour ride turned into thirteen due to poor pl...

Happy Thanksgiving! Is that Politically Correct...?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! If you celebrate it... If not, err... Go eat some turkey because it's delicious. Just checking in to let everyone know I am off to visit my sister in New York for the four-day break I get, and I doubt I'll have computer access for more than a few minutes at a time(my desktop is in no way mobile. I HAVE TRIED. XD). Hopefully I can get on for a bit later, but no promises. Sad faaaaaace.

Newhoo, I promised some people I'd post this, so here it is. This is the video of my friend and I jumping into the freezing cold lake-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ez2iKuChiRw

PG-13 WARNING- I SWEAR IN THE VIDEO WHEN I HIT THE WATER. IT WAS THAT COLD. So if you're too young to hear that language, don't watch it. Or mute it. One of the two.

Notable things to look for in the video-

My high-pitched keen of death upon hitting the water (followed by the cursing).

I jump in wearing my high school sweatshirt- and yet had refused to wear another shirt on account of the lake being dirty. Bulldawgs forever...?

Drunk guy yelling "Take your top off!" when I try (and fail without assistance- my muscles froze up) to get my sweatshirt off.

My friend and I jumping up and down laughing in fits of hysteria- which neither of us remember doing.

Me telling another person with a camera that I love them in a high-pitched voice (another thing I don't remember doing).

Drunk person in the lake yelling "O-H!" and the rest of us responding with "I-O!" as per OSU mandate.

More College Shenanigans...

Hmm... I've been playing with the chat instead of posting. XD Bad Mai-Mai! Newhoo, quick update on the continued insanity that is my college. (Quick? LONG POST IS LONG. DX)

I have now, as a college student- begun to hate a subject I once loved, participated in a political movement, joined in a protest (not that it probably did any REAL good, being in response to something that occurred literally across the country), attended a drunken party, and done an illogical, stupid, brainless college tradition in the name of football. ^^

Having to deal and stress over two Latin midterms... Count 'em, TWO... is entirely unfair. I feel like I'm ALWAYS doing Latin, and when I'm not, I should be. I think I'm burned out. This is technically my fifth year of Latin. I used to love it, but I'm basically done with the subject now. ^^ Let's just hope that doesn't happen with English! XD

And now to the more interesting stories...

The anime club had a Halloween party (half a month after Halloween, on account of most of the club being gone that weekend for a convention), which my friends and I decided to attend. And I don't think I had a good time. =/

There was drinking. A LOT of drinking. And pervy stalker fanboys get even CREEPIER after a few beers. Not all fanboys are creepers, but all the ones in attendance were. O_O (For the record. "Hey, baby, two drink minimum!" is NOT in ANY way an acceptable pick-up line.) I don't mind being social, but the drunkards were not being particularly so. The evening dissolved into a friend and I wrestling on the floor (FUUUUUN! XD) and eventually all the sober or confused people just ended up chilling out together talking about Dr. Who. XD

One of my friends who did drink ragged on me for not participating in the "fun" and attending my first drunken party and not joining in. But here's the fact of the matter- I don't drink. I don't like drunk people. Besides being, you know, ILLEGAL for me to drink, the taste, the smell, the intoxication... Yech. Not for me, not even "socially." Kay thanks.

The best parts of the evening were when someone tried to buy my tennis racket from me (I was in my Prince of Tennis uniform). ^^ Then I was leaning on my guy friend's shoulder, and someone snarked "Ooooh, we're gunna tell Ryo!" To which my response was to look them in the eye and tell them "He knows better. Seriously. He'll be more upset that I wore my Seigaku uniform without him." XD The look on their face... *snicker* And then we came back to the dorm and played Pokemon Stadium on the N64. SCORE. XD

But I can now SAY I've attended a college party... Yay?

I attend THE Ohio State University, and we play our rivals University of M*ch*g@n this weekend (*sings* WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE WHOLE STATE OF MICHIGAN, CAUSE WE'RE FROM O-HI-O! ... Sorry, Nehsz. XD). In accordance to this time of the football season, many shenanigans and traditions take place on campus.

One of which is to jump into Mirror Lake. At night. (Apparently this gets us hyped up and shows how tough we are to our rivals? I'm not really sure.)

...

It was snowing. =D;;;

HOGAAAAAAAAAAWD, I've never been so cold. DDDX But in retrospect, it was totally worth it. I'll always have that memory, and I participated in something that somehow or another supports my school. It also brought the student body together, in a twisted, bizarre way. XD (Warm showers, hot tea, slippers, and fleece blankies are WIN.)

I just really, really wish one of my roommates (I have three, this is one of the normal!ones) didn't take this fun, albeit stupid, activity as an excuse to get plastered. AGAIN. I'm actually writing this now because I'm waiting for her to drag herself out of the hallway and into bed before going to sleep myself, or I'll fret all night. If she passes out, someone's gotta take care of her, and her counterpart is also wasted. *sigh* I check on her every couple of minutes. XD;

My cool!roomie (AKA my long-lost twin) took a video of me and my friend jumping in the lake (and our immediate $*$%#$%@%(#$!!!!! reactions, XD). As soon as I can get the audio to import into the computer with the video, I'll post it somehow or another. XD

WHEEEEEEEEEE... I'd like to sleep noooooow... I have a quiz in the morning...

GO BUCKEYES! Best of luck to our boys! ^^ (Sorry Nehsz. XD)
