Welcome to my little corner. I'm new to the worlds, so please bear with me! Still trying to find people and organize things. Glad to greet long known friends and new ones!

Rain,rain!
Thinking about the old song 'IT NEVER RAINS IN cALIFORNIA". Well, we have been having the skies open up , especially when I have been thinking of going outside the house. Another movie day. Funny thing is, that this happens rarely, but the drumming sound frightens the parrots- one squawks, the other makes crying noises. Maybe I should sketch, but things have gotten so hectic, that its off to work, fall into bed. I just found out my favorite anime store closed-- not good. Sometimes, I like to walk around a store and browse-- it is like briefly being in another time and place. Where are people getting their anime-manga from these days? It's been a while since I have had a haircut- several months, so now to choose-- something entirely different-- or much the same -- guess I'll have to look at some pictures. Not much is happening- we had enough with all the contractors, and having to fix things when I planned on just a break from things. Time that creativity returns, and the infamous back room get organinzed. Ah, but there is always the Yoko Kanno soundtracks I have. Music does help to lighten the loads sometimes. Well, not much to say today-- just kinda walking along. Anyone out there into photoshop and changing sketches into full pictures? bye for now.
Weather changes... hopefully other things too
I watch the weather a lot-- not only in SoCal, but nationally. I have been amazed by wild occurrences, freezes in FL, the midwest looking like the Arctic. Then, woosh! The changes comes again. Maybe the idea from James Bond of a guy with a weather machine doesn't seem so strange when I see all these changes. I admit, I have become a "wuss" when it comes to ice and snow (used to live upstate New York where 30F was balmy). But I watch other things- especially cultural trends. There is much we can learn , especially from the East, but the attitude of :he with the most toys, wins" has rankled me for years. So I am looking for people to discover art, poetry, and appreciation of the efforts of others. I may have said this before, but I hae fingers crossed, and keep looking out the proverbial window for signs. So another night with my parrots, and I think I'll read to keep the tone quieter. Or maybe knit. Almost finished my box of afghan, blanket, and 3 pairs of socks. I will post the photo (just 1/2 sock to go). Love, peace (and biscotti!)
Still Watching Death Note
Well, just like a tasty treat, I seem to try and stretch out a good anime when I find one. Just one more disc to find in late February. CosmicSailor, I agree that Cartoon Network seems to have suddenly dropped annime in favor of what appears to be student animations. I think they don't want to pay licensing fees--- so I am trying to get the DVD one by one. But, I am wondering about new titles. So, my Cowboy Bebop discs have gotten a real re-working (I am surprised how long they are lasting). Some major repairs to the house-- finding contractors is kind of a scary thing when you have little time. I think my house would make a good anima! (never know what it will do next). Still seem to snooze when I can, but my schedule is a cork popper! Well, it will be 2 days before the changing of the guard-- a new President-- who's got a lot on his plate! I wish him good luck,, and hope no leaks here when the next rain comes!
Creature of Habit
its still sticky for me to navigate here and get to the point where I can add a pot. Things have twistsed oddly, big house repairs, changing schedules to ths point weekends are for snoozing (slowly comping out of that ). I watched Elfen Lied and likes it, and as usual, when I DVR all of Code Geass, we got an update, so only half of the can be watched. Grr. And I am seeing that Cartoon Network has been drastically cutting back on anime. That urks me... I look forward to anime night. Any other good channels to watch anime? That just seems to take me away for the every day.. a little fantasy is a good thing, to refresh one's brain, and see art, adn see something totally not related to news stories. I am contniuing to enjoy Death Note (new disk coming out) and like to go to the Bargain Barrel at Fry's for anime... may movies are just to close to current events... that's not relaxing folks. (for me anyway) Hopefully, the urge to sketcch, and some lighthearted sketches will come along. Hello to good friends! Halloween is coming, anyone [lanning on some costumes? Well, I guess I'll watch scryed before the evening comes. Peace, love and biscotti!
Transitions
Transitions seem to be my biggest challenge- whether some changes to the website, or changes in my life. I rocked and rolled throught the little quake, then relealizing the water heater was not tethered, raced home, and for a little quake, there was a fair mess of thing that fell out of cabinets, etc. The biggest was the hot water heater moved (luckilly did not fall)-- called the plumber who came on the weekend to tether it down wiht steel bands. There's other work to get done in the house--- the trick is getting it done on weekends. Now it's even getting a little harder to find anime to watch. I've been taping Code Geass, and will start to watch (missed the beginning), and I am finishing up watching Death Note-- I am enjoying the twists and turns of the plot. Change for me is a life quake, and one thing I seem to do is jump with each small turn.... OMG! I am becoming the worry wart and have to re-learn to kick back a little more and enjoy. So I going to try to slow down on pushing the river. Still having a bit of a hard time learning to post here, guess I'll have to keep trying! But, hello to my good friends-- you have added so much good things to my life.
Love and peace, and chocolate biscotti (the flavor of the month!)
