Welcome to my little corner. I'm new to the worlds, so please bear with me! Still trying to find people and organize things. Glad to greet long known friends and new ones!

On the Road Agin

Runaway! Once again, I headed up to Death Valley with a good friend. It was the end of the wildflower season, and California surely had fierce rains. The colours of the mountains, and the gouges left behind were phenonenal-- and my friend found 3 critters--brine snail larva, a stink bug, and a HUGE multicolour catepillar! She had some lawn chairs, and on an open basin, openned the chairs. We sat, had some lemonade, and just gawked at the mountains. I wondered what mineral treasures they held. So Quiet, so away from the noise and craziness of southern California. Now to find other get away places, to be able to hear a quiet natural world. I will try to add a picture of the mountains with flowers....

Fruit Cake Upside Down!

I've been working in 2 offices ( about 15 miles apart, and both are 35 miles from home) Well, I've been told to wrap up every thing in office 1 (I'm there 1 day a week but I have worked there forever) and move everything to office 2 for 5 days a week. Right now, lots of running around to try and get this done without major problems, but its been lots of long hours (I still have a computer that has its own mind at BOTH locations! What are the odds of that? I swear both machines hate me (giggle) random programs open and close, like a wild video game, then both of them randomly eat the work that's been done. So, back to paper and pencil so the info isn't lost--- a crash lurks around the corner. So unfortunately , much time sleeping! I have finally replace the camera lens, and the new one is smooth in action, I don't have to fight with it. Two friend are eager for a desert weekend, so I hope we can get everything together. I have to get new glasser ( I have been using old ones for various distances-- kind of a hoot, but a nusaince! it leaves me always seeing something blurry-- but then again, sometimes that isn't all bad. I was thrilled to see multiple Dr. Who fans! Yeah!!!! That would make an awesome anime! (Kitsune Tsuki, we are not alone!)

I hope this picture from Death Valley comes out this time, I am having a strong yearning to back there-- its so beautiful, and awesome-- like walking on Mars. Does anyone live near Southern or Central California (thats where Joshua Tree Monument is, Death Valley is toward Central California-- actually west of Las Vegas. Well, hopefully here is one pic:

Good night to good friends!

The buttercups are coming!

Each weekend has beein raining, and my energy sags just a little bit more. Terminal Boredom was looming up ahead. This weekend, the sun peaked out, and although there was a little nip in the in morning- there is was-- the first splotch of yellow on the hills. It quickly runs across the hills and canyons, with wildflowers bursting in impossible colours! Time to wake from winters doldrums--- buy some walking shoes, and grab the camera and go. Is anyone out there a nature photography fan? If you are, plase PM me- I would love to meet you! I have the strong use to get to the Deserts during wildflower time! I came from the East, and when I first moved to Californ, fell in love with the unusual sight of the deserts---and the mountains , and little birds and critters that pop up, but then dissappear. So , time to blow the dust off the sketch pad, and load up the camera bag. Two9 friend have said they would like to take a trip to the desert during wildflower time, so I's gonig to work on hopelfully setting it up for this year/ Hello to good friend-Panda, Kitsune Tsuki (the Closet will so be stocked with more goodies), and Cosmic Sailor. Time to try and bake some different biscotti, and look at making some other Italian treats.

Well, time to start editing images so I can post them here.

AAAARGH

Did you ever have a week you just wanted to stand on the bed and scream? Too many change too fast== go to a favorite store or restaurant, POOF, its moved or changed-- it is feelnig like everything is upside down! Mother Nature is having a hissy fit all over the country== and basically, I wouldn't be surprised if gravity was turned off. I think everyone is going through their own tribulations this winter. Still working on my Death Valley pictures-- which i the winter is a breath taking place, all the hills and mountains are different colours (so many mineral !) But the best of all are these salt pans with funky looking crystals, mysterious looking mountains. I will certainly tryp to get som of them on this site and DA== right now its pretty late, so have to get up early. What i s everybody doing ? Good wishes to good friends.

Deja Vu (all over again)

Tomorrow is Christmas-- and we are freezing again! The furnace BROKE AGIN, and the temps outside are 30 at nights. Back to the several blankets, and sleeping in a ski hat. I really should draw this, as it is twice now. The parrots are being boarded with the vet to stay warm. I baked biscotti to keep the house warm and keep moving. When my other half comes back from a business trip, we will be gonig to Death Valley , CA for a couple days to take photographs. We both enjoy photography, and neither one has been to the National park up there (the lowest point in the US-- hotter than blazes in the summer). So tonight, again up under the blankets, with lots of anime discs to watch. I apreciated that news article on anime- I agree that the hand drawn cels show a unique art form I will be glad to see to return, and agree that Cowboy Bebop showed some great art, began to explore character relationships, and to me has a timelessness of its own. I strongly suggest watching the Cowboy Bebop Mov and expecially watching the city scenes done in black and white. That takes about 2 min, but I love that section, and Yoko Kanno's music.

Wishing my friends, and everyone a kinder, gentler, and saner new year. This one ought to be illustrated and become a manga or anime, because it has been so odd.
