Chapter 4: The girl

David and his friend stood there, shaking in fear. They stood like that until the teacher came around the corner, to scold them. She saw it, and gasped. Unlike the boys, however, she ran to the body to see if it was alive. She held the wrist and checked for breathing.
After a while, she sighed and raised her head. “She’s alive.”
The boys sighed with relief, until the teacher grabbed the girl, slung her over her shoulder and walked off.
