Being the dork I am, I was looking for Marching Band icons 
I found something very funny, but true. It says:
We're in Marching Band because...
1. We can't sing
2. We can't draw
3. We only know the letters A-G
4. We're crazy
5. We give our instruments their own names
6. we can dress and undress other people without being a creeper
7. We can walk together
8. We go to camp together
This is pretty much true, with a few exagerations like with the letters and the can't draw part...
As to we can't sing... Some of us really can't.
Our band director insists that if we can't play a note right that we sing it... Let's just say that it's interesting, exspecially when we sing Happy birthday to other people in marching band. 
About the creeper part, well, our jacket zips up in the back so we can't reach it and we'd be doomed for all eternity to be stuck in our jackets and die of over-heating.
That's my funny bit of the day!
