Next, we have weapons (an optional category) of the decidedly not built into the body sort. Again, strength of the attack, speed of the attack, and efficiency are factors to consider, but also there is control of the weapon, range and accuracy. There are countless types, and not all are created equal. You’ll have to research it yourself. Weapons should match the style of physical combat, as well as personality/status.
For example, Okuri is a samurai, and samurai almost always use swords. He can pull 7 nodachi, each with a blade length of 1 meter, out of thin air using his tails. He can also unify them into one nodachi which he wields/pulls out of thin air with his hands with a blade that is 3 meters long. He calls his blade ‘Koga’ (steel fang). Notice that only weapons that one values, such as swords, axes, naginatas, etc, get names, while weapons that are thrown get none. This is because naming a weapon provides a sense of attachment.
A nodachi is a large sword (the kind Sephiroth uses) that does a lot of damage and has a lot of range. Generally speaking, all swords have great control. Through training, Okuri has become very accurate at making cuts (but most close range weapons are accurate to begin with) Attacks are quick by default, but only through his great strength is he capable of moving it quickly. It is only because of his great stamina and the ‘One cut, one kill’ nature of Koga that Okuri is able to use it for hours on end.
Yua, on the other hand, is a ninja. She uses your standard throwing weapons as well as a pair of triple bladed kama (small scythes) that are usually disguised as a pair of earrings. With any weapon, she attacks quickly and accurately. While the kamas do much more damage, they are complimented by the range of the thrown weapons.
I don’t think this OC is anything special with weapons, so I’ll just give her some kunai.
