As for the OC in the works, she has no previous connections with any character, which is very good. This is very efficient at preventing Mary Sues. Her parents, however, had ties with Konohagakure, so when they are slaughtered by Sound nin, that’s where she runs.

The first person in the Leaf she meets is Chouji, who appears to be her complete opposite: She is almost anorexic (and not necessarily in a good way) and he is mildly obese. She is timid and quiet, while he is bold and brash. The only reason the two get along at first is because she lets him eat half her food. (which, by the way, comes in very small portions)

Other characters are met. First the rest of Choiji’s squad, then the other squads, then the local eateries. All the while, Choiji becomes more confused about her eating habits, and eventually becomes concerned. After seeing her battle a few Sound nin, Choiji becomes convinced that her extreme dieting is hazardous to her day to day health, her long term health, and her ability to fight. He eventually convinces her to put some weight on, and they’re both better off for it. This is proved in another encounter with Sound nin.

Is there romance between them? Maybe, maybe not.
