"Kanayuki-San please be reasonable!" I glared at the family members who had gathered in my office. The few parents who had not abandoned their children along with those willing to take their side. "Their lives will be ruined if they do not get the chance to experience the outside world. Homeschooling has only taken a few of them so far!" They were referring to the older zodiac members: Shino, Akane, Haruko, and Hana. The rest were still young enough to experience live in a real school. "I do not want them to go out there! Don't you realize how dangerous it is on the outside?! What if something happened to them?" Shino's mother gave a heartless laugh. "We should be more worried about what happens to them in here." I glared at her. "In here I can protect them!" She looked sharply into my eyes. "Protect them? Is that what you did to Shino when you beat him? You may be the master of the zodiac and you may bend them to your will, but deep down they hate you. They all hate you!" I slapped her across the face. I know that what she says is true. No one came back to be with me. I am the God that was never supposed to be.

Kaoru's father spoke up next. "If you do not let our children live the lives we want them to experience; we will rise up against you. Is that what you want?" I sighed in defeat. It would come to that eventually. "Fine. I will grant them one year. They may go to school. Or get jobs. Whatever they wish. After the year is up I will decide what I want to do with them. If our family's little problem is not public by then." They all looked so happy, but I felt sick. Scared. This will either prove the strength of our bond, or it will destroy it. Either way I know that the end is near. If they realize how badly they need me they will hate me. If they realize they can escape they will flee, and I will be all alone.
