Just so you know, if you are a Bleach fan, you ARE'NT going to like this...

I really honestly tried it. I watched the first few episodes and have been watching parts of it over my best friends shoulder all week. Frankly, I don't see the point, it just a bunch of fight scenes tied together by plot that goes from bad to worse, with random filler episodes which add to the confusion and pointlessness.

Now, a lot of my good friends watch Bleach, which is why I tried it, therefore, I'm sure there is some value in it, somewhere. I simply cannot find it.

To make matters worse, they decide to spice up the conversations with excessive cursing, and rudeness, to shock you and cover the fact that most of the conversation is just to get a laugh, or so the charachters can taunt each other, and doesn't have much to do with the plot, and isn't that original after the first few episodes.

And BTW, what is up with the little talking teddy-bear-lion-thingy? I have asked fans of the show, and no one seems to know why it is there, or what purpose it serves. They simply say it is "funny". Isn't there a way to introduce a comic relief into a show without bringing in a charachter whose origins make no sense, who is annoying, and who doesn't really match anything else in the world you are creating?

So, I will now go back to happily watching Avatar, Death Note, and RomeoXJuliet. I simply felt the need to express my discontent, in case anyone else happened to feel the same.
