Nabi: the prototype

At first, it loks like just random manga bits stuck in a book together, but a closer look reveals a lot of deep themes and thought-provoking aspects.

With this manga, it was love at first sight. The drawing style, the stories, the charachters, all drew me in and held me. I've read it three times, and i find new things that intruege me each time. It has that spar of something that keeps you coming back, even when you're not sure why.

This manga doesn't have a lot of the cursing, or suggestiveness that a lot of popular ones do. It doesn't go for shock factor, or try to be over the top. Its just straightforward drama, with each charachter dealing with internal and externall turmoil in thier own way. The stories carry have a certain strength, without using many of the ploys used by so many manga-kas.

Its not a series in America (yet). But I would reccomend it as a wonderful additon to ANY manga collection. I hope you have the chance to read these manga "short stories" and I hope you get as much out of them as I have. Its 100% Rider approved!
