Fight Club... with love triangles?

Ok, I just finished Tenjho Tenge last night. (I haven't read the manga, and I watched teh show in Japanese) At times, it would start reminding me of Naruto, a bunch of kids all trying to kill each other, to become stronger, so they can kill each other. But, then... boobs?

Yes, many of the main charachtes, are not only women, but they would put Victories Secret models to shame. Ironically, the women seem to be more interested in chasing men around then the other way around. One even declares herself engaged to the main charachter and practically stalks him the whole show, despite the fact that he is in love with her older sister.

O, and these kids have serious family issues. Many of the major charachters are siblings, but that doesn't stop them from trying to kock each other off. and since one of the boys killed thier parents, there's really no one to stop them. But, you can't technically blame him. A cursed katana drove him insane.

So, it does have plot, in fact about half the show is spent in flash-back, but the plot seems to be just a frame, in which stuff as many fight scenes as possable. And since all these kids are in high-school, and the girls are ridiculously awesome, there are plenty of fan-service shots.

Some of the coments made by me and my freind (a guy) while watching this together were...

"Seriously, haven't Japanese girls ever heard of non-white underwear?"

"You know they only put ninjas in there cuz it makes the fan-service cool."

"Wait, thats their brother too!?" How many sibs does this chick have!?"

"Where are they hiding all these knives?"

I think you get the idea. If you want to watch some intense tail-kicking, sprinkled with fan-service, then go for it. But, if you want a smooth, prgresive plot, you might want to look elsewhere.
