Evil Plots, the end of the world, evil witches, shinigami in training, good vs evil, love triangles, cat-women, boobs, basketball.... all in one show? Why not!?

Soul Eater just may be my new favorite show. It serious, but funny, it deals with real conflicts, but set in out-of-this-world situations. The charachters are dynamic, and relatable, but still easy to laugh at, as well as with. This one will make you laugh and cry. As soon as I was finished, I wanted to tell the whole world how great this show was, but had no idea how... there is just so much in it. Its 52 episodes full of awesome!

Not only are the charachters and plots well done and amazing, the art style is a bit diffrent, and rather odd, but fully fascinating. It looks like "mother goose" gone horrably wrong, but the uniquenes of it just makes you want to understand it all the more.

In this show, there are creatures who are born as "weapons". They each have the ability to transform thier bodies into some form of offense battle weapon. These children are teamed with "meisters" who learn to control them, and the two peoples souls resonate to defeat and draw out souls who, through evil actions, have become "eggs of the demon god". These special teams are trained at a special school, run by the Grim Reaper himself!

The anime centers around three teams, Soul (A scythe) and Maka, Liz/Patty (Twin Pistols) and Death the Kid, and Tsubaki (who has multiple forms of assasin weapons including throwing star and smoke bomb) and Black Star. When the Demon God is awakened by the witches, its up to them to help stop him!

O, and did I mention there is a super-natural cat whose naked human form is constantly giving Soul nose-bleeds living with Soul and Maka? Yes, in Death City, there is never a dull moment! I give a full 5 stars to this clever, inthrawling anime!
