So, last time I visited TheO I was still in highschool.
Let’s just say, a lot has changed :)
I’m in college now, and no longer living with my parents… still can’t find a job though… but that’s beside the point. Still can’t cook, so that hasn’t changed, but I can deep fry pirogues, so I guess that kinda counts as cooking? It’s a learning process, let’s just leave it at that. I finally got my license, after failing twice, almost running over a pedestrian on the first try and having a panic attack during the second, so that was fun, definitely never doing that again… I hope. But on the plus side, since my odds of passing the third time were so low I made a bet with my dad and got an iPod since I won (OWNED!) let’s just say I do my best when the odds are stacked against me and of course when there’s more than just the usual to gain (:
Point, point, point… did I have a point here? Nahhh… don’t think I did (:
Anyway, back to the college thing, I was on the dean’s list my first two semesters, not trying to brag… ok maybe just a little, and as of midterm grades I’m still in good condition to make it there for the third so, fingers crossed! Although it has less to do with luck and more with just doing what needs done, it’s just community college so it’s not like it’s that difficult.
As of Tuesday October 22, I have two goldfish, and they are still alive 3 days later (: I named them Poseidon and Thaumas, because my roommate (who actually got them for me) said I had to give them names that were either Greek or related to something Greek since the decoration for their bowl is Greek ruin pillars. So Poseidon… well let’s just say if you don’t know who Poseidon is, be prepared for a lecture if you ever ask, and Thaumas, well I read somewhere that there was a previous sea god before Poseidon, and Poseidon kicked his butt and took over, but anyway Thaumas was his name, but don’t quote me on that, I think I read it on Wikipedia. I’m getting more and more suspicious though that the one named Poseidon is actually a girl… but hey, I’m going to college for Liberal Arts: Social Sciences, not Fish Gendering, so whatever (:
Also my roommate has a dog… an evil, adorable, sometimes demon-ish dog named Vice who is a Maltese-Pomeranian and whom I only love sometimes, and those sometimes aren’t when he sheds on my black clothing or when he gets a centimeter from my face and stares at me while I’m trying to sleep. Nor when he chews on my shoes and does countless other things that have me convinced that he is in fact a demon sent to ruin my life. But he is super adorable, as long as he isn’t wet… he just looks like an old man/drowned rat and he isn’t adorable at all then. He likes to sit on my lap and cuddle with me when I’m playing video games or watching anime, so he really isn’t all bad, definitely not completely demon (:
Speaking of the demon dog and the adorable fishies! I gotta go take care of the buggers so, I guess that’s all for now (:
