MY EYE WON'T STOP TWITCHING! GAHHH!!!!! I WANT IT TO STOOOP D:
So yeah, I just woke up... on Thanksgiving... It sucks because it means I missed the balloon parade D: and the dog show D: which for me used to be a tradition to watch every year. But I actually haven't watched them for a few years now :T so no biggie I guess.
Anyway, I've been playing Pandora's Tower, and I really like it. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's a game for the Wii console and, even though I haven't gotten very far, to describe it, it's kinda like final fantasy. But only a little. See I usually put games into different categories based on my own judgement, and Final Fantasy-like is one of those categories. ANYWAY, the graphics and stuff are a lot like the older final fantasy games for like, PS2, but that is really just how I categorize mostly.
The story line is about a young girl who was chosen as the maiden for this harvest festival, which is a big deal in her country because they are all vegetarians, but during it she fell victim to a curse that turned her into a monster. Her boy-pal/love interest saves her from the army, as he's pretty good at running from them since he's been hiding from them for a long time now I guess and they meet this old lady and her... thing... she's a merchant so she carries a big thing on her back called a boon-something or other. Anyway, the old lady takes them to these 13 towers and tells them more about the curse and how it can be broken. So the entire game is pretty much about, playing as the main male protagonist, going into the 13 towers to retrieve beast flesh for your lover to eat so she can stay human. (Now some of you smarties would have noticed that I mentioned her entire country being vegetarians and thought, 'wait a second!?!') Yes, wait a second. She's a vegetarian, so she hates having to eat flesh, but oh well, Deal. It's that or become a monster.
I pretty much just summarized the entire opening for you because well... I've only made it to the third tower so far and not much else has happened, and telling more than just the beginning would be spoilers.
But as far as my own thoughts on the game, I don't trust Mavda (the old lady merchant). She's creepy and I just plain don't trust her. I'm pretty good at guessing what's going to happen, like as far as plot twists and stuff, and my guess is that sweet old Mavda has something she isn't telling the main characters. Why? you may ask, because you should never trust old people. If they survived for so long it means they're crafty, and there's a good chance that they can suck the life out of people, so yeah, never trust the old people. Especially in games or anime (:
AND MY EYE STILL HASN'T STOPPED TWITCHING D:
