There were plenty of moments where my heartstrings were being pulled but the worst moment was probably when everyone was released and said goodbye. It was so painfully beautiful and destroyingly perfect. Imagine being able to convey all those mixed emotions pent up for so long. Man, what an impact.
... Despite feeling brokenhearted and weak, I'm still itching for the day I can pick it up again and point out more things that had an equal affect on me ;__;
Also Kyo + Tohru = WIN!!!!! Boy did it make me pump my fist in jubilant excitement when the early stages of that development sprouted wings *blissful smile*

I like the very end of the manga, even though the story seemed to get a bit too over the top and soapy before then. (I personally think the plot twists with Kyo are sort of ridiculous lol.) But, damn, nothing gets the ol' emotions going like Fruits Basket, and I greatly admire Natsuki Takaya for not holding back and going balls out crazy with it. Even when it is ridiculous, the manga is definitely never boring.
What's the most emotional moment for you? For me, it's when Kagura admits to Kyo that she initially hung out with him because it made her feel superior, but that she really has grown to actually love him, and then there's this full panel where she's in a half crouch, with tears streaming down her face, and she's shouting that she loves Kyo. My God, it was like my soul was ripped apart when I read that.

Oh, it hurts sooooo gooooood ;____;
Even though my eyes tear up just thinking about reading it from the beginning again, I'd still embrace all that lovely pain once more!

I need to read this badboy . . . watching it was good enough, sounds like reading'll lead to a whole new world of hurt.
But hurt in the good way, of course.
