It's all their fault, really :-(

Was meant to meet some people about a coaching/interning project on Tuesday but, since I've been sickly for the past week+, I opted to stay home. Woman from the project called Tuesday morning and asked if I'd be in today (Thursday) instead and I said yes.

Didn't feel too great but took a bus into town, changed to yet another one that took me out to the remote place where they're at, only to find all the staff (save for one woman) are away on a course and the person I was supposed to meet won't be available until Monday..... Ah-huh....

The bus back into town wouldn't be due until another 40 minutes so I trekked across industrial land for half an hour so's I could get to a bus stop that'd take me directly home. My hips were numb from walking on concrete for such a long stretch of time. Luckily I had a scarf on to protect me from the low temperatures (though my throat feels funny now....).

Later on I checked the mail to see if they'd sent me an email about the change of plan, which they had ... it was sent not long after the woman had called me that morning ....

Now, if you're going to a conference/course I'd assume you're told well in advance. Absolutely not 1 ½ days prior, right? So she should've known this when she called Tuesday morning and told me so right there and then instead of sending a "ps email" not long after. Or, better yet, call me up again and say "whoops mistake, scratch that, lol".

Yeah, I'm stupid for not checking the mail but I still place the biggest blame on her/them/the Man.

Also, while I was in their HQ I looked at some papers posted on a board and they suggested they're doing the same thing as another project I was signed onto a couple of years back....

Aaaaaaagh! This all feels so pointless. One project after another that leads me nowhere. All it does is sour my life for a period of time and/or jeopardizes my mental health. /head desk

Sleepy time naow ._.
