So, I've been doing this comic strip series called Random Moments. It basically illustrates random times in my life. Now, I am going to write down a few Random Momnents...of FAILURE.
Failure #1:
It was a wonderful, clear day. I was spending time with my friend Amanda, goofing around as usual. After Lunch, she had a brilliant idea. She wanted to play hide n' seek(yeah an 18 and 19 year old playing hide n' seek...) It was my turn to count. As I was searching for her, I said "Come out, Come out, wherever you are!" and sure enough Amanda pops her head up from her hiding place. FAIL. Amanda, I don't think that's how the game goes....
Failure #2:
When I was a freshman, I used to wear these beat up pair of jeans. It had the bottom of the legs torn to pieces, each leg having one long strip of fabric hanging for dear life. One day during my lunch period, I was standing with my friends, talking. Then my crush walked up to a group next to us. One of my friends kept telling me to talk to him. I refused to and she decided to call him over. I tried to escape quickly, but she had a grip on my arm. I quickly escaped it and began to run in the opposite direction. Sure enough, she stomped on one of those strips of jeans and caused me to trip and do a split....right in front of my crush. FAIL. I threw away those jeans finally....
Failure #3:
I was taking a walk to the creek with Amanda(lots of things happen with her). We were almost there when we noticed how the road was taken over by a bunch of huge grasshoppers/crickets. I happened to kick one while walking and it was sent flying for quite a distance. Amanda found it amusing and tried to kick one as well. As soon as her toe touched it, it jumped and latched itself to her pants leg. She shook her leg vigorously screaming "It's attacking me!!!!" FAIL. Don't worry, it let go.
Failure #4:
In middle school, Amanda and I had to take a Home ec. class. During one class, we had to make up a cooking assignment while the others began on writing an article. Our first instructions read: "Spread crisco onto skillet. To tell when ready to use, dash a little water onto it. If it sizzles, its ready." Amanda actually wet her entire hand and flick most of the water onto the skillet. It began to pop and sputter all over the place, resulting to us screaming. FAIL. despite that incident, our food turned out delicious!
Failure #5:
One night, Amanda and I were sitting at the computer watching videos. I went into the kitchen and began searching for something to snack on. As I searched, I exclaimed "I'm Hungry!" In response, Amanda shouted "But we ate...." looked at the clock, "Hours ago!" FAIL. Proof that time flies when you're having fun.
