i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.
Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.
Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)
Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.
Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.
Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

i feel like i've told you guys more about myself with all these darn tags than i ever have in the couple of years i've been on theO.
1) What is your favorite animal?---cat
2) What is your favorite type of book and music genre?---for book, fantasy/sci-fi adventure, music is usually movie soundtracks
3) What is the funniest thing that happened to you recently?---I forgot when my early morning class started Thursday last week. I thought for some reason it started at 9, when it starts at 8:30. So I went to class and waited and no one ever showed up. Cause class had already started and they had all gone to the IDEAS room and started the project. I felt kinda dumb.
4) Do you like school lunches?---only the chicken patties. Those are awesome. I miss being in public school, my university’s chicken patties just aren’t the same. ;_;
5) Which superpower would you choose? Flight, lazor beam, super strength, or cat-like abilities?---I would love to fly, but even more than that I think I would choose the cat-like abilities. Cause I’m cat whisperer, remember.
6) Where is your happy place?---it is a land I have created in my head, a mash-up of various tv shows, cartoons and animes, where there is lots of yaoi, no homework, and no one nagging me. And millions of kitties for me to snuggle and love.
7) How do you determine a true friend (yes this is deep lol)?---someone that doesn’t abandon me when someone cooler/more interesting comes around. I have very few true friends. It is usually only a matter of time when one of my ‘friends’ ditch me for someone ‘better’. It still hurts, but I’ve come to expect it. So I rarely let someone be my friend. That’s why I love cats so much. They don’t ditch me. To my cat, I’m the coolest, bestest and most awesome person in the world, and they love me despite all my flaws.
8) What's your favorite hobby?---crocheting while listening to music with a cat on my lap sleeping. It relaxes me after a stressful day at school/work.
9) Are you a procrasinator (cuz I should totally be doing homework right now)?---totally. I’m currently working on perfecting the art of procrastination. My badge for work has been broken for nearly 2 months now and I can’t wear it, yet I still haven’t done anything to get it fixed/replaced.
10) Does anyone like brussel sprouts or lima beans? Because I find them both revolting vegetables.---I’m okay with lima beans. Just about anything is better than the aliens (mushrooms) my parent love.
11) Do you overthink things (like me!) or just stick to the point or answer, and be finished?---not really. I just go with my first thought and move on. Which makes the reflection questions assigned for homework difficult for me. My teachers complain I don’t think ‘deep’ enough. I just don’t think ‘deep’ though.
okay, this was fun the first 1/2 times. but now, not so much.
1 What's your dream vacation?---someplace where it's 70 degrees, partly cloudy, slight breeze, full of kitties for me to pet/cuddle/snuggle/love on.
2 What's your favorite movie/TV show from your childhood?---i loved all disney movies, especially if there were kitties in it.
3 Do you believe in Santa Claus?---i used to. but not anymore
4 What's your favorite band?---i don't really have 1 fav. it fluxuates with my mood
5 Have you ever played Truth or Dare?---yes. and i'm not to fond of it.
6 If you wanted to participate in a game or reality show what would it be?---Survivor is my fav. i WILL be on it someday. i would also like to be on Amazing Race with my dad.
7 What's your lucky number?---12 or 121. again, depends on my mood.
8 Do you cook?---yep, but i prefer to bake.
9 Do you read Shonen Jump, Shojo Beat or both?---jump
10 What do you want to dress up as for Halloween?---pirate. i even have a full wooden pirate sword.
11 Diet or regular?---niether. i can't drink soda. i can't have the caffeine.
went to school again. i only have 1 class wednesdays and fridays. it was a good class though. i think i get the most out of that class than any of my other ones. then i was able to go to work. i miss being able to work every day. i miss my grocery store and my coworkers.
after work was water aerobic. the water wasn't quite as cold as monday, but we did something new today. it was all swimming instead of kicks and armwork. first for our warm up we swam down with the breast stroke (and that horrid frog kick. i hate the frog kick) and swam back with the freestyle. i don't like the free style either. strokes are uncomfortable for me, i usually doggy paddle. i'm very fast with doggy paddle.
but after 10 min warm up, we all got a board. we had to rest our arms on it and flutter kick back and forth for 15 min. when we reached the wall we couldn't touch the floor. we had to hold the board with our right hand, grab the wall with our left, tuck our knees in, kick off the wall and slap the board back on the water. the next 15 min was with the dumbbells, holding them vertical and doing the evil breast stroke/frog kick. last 15 was with this weird 2 floaties tied together. we had to hold them between our knees and use just our arms freestyle stroke. like a mermaid she said. it was a fun class.
mom made homemade pizza for dinner! and carrot cake cupcakes. cause survivor's on tonight. we love survivor.
my ring i bought on ebay arrived. it is a snake wrapping itself around my finger hissing. he is so cute. i love my snake.

-If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, what would you bring?---a machete
-How DO you get to Sesame Street?---i never plan on going, so i have no idea
-If red was blue, and blue was red....How do clouds stay up in the air?---tiny little particles of water that float up in the air until they merge enough to get to heavy to float. then they fall as rain.
-Did that last question make any sense?---eh. not really
-Do you like shounen-ai?---yep.
-ARE YOU A WEEABOO?! Do you even know what that is?!---i have no idea what that is
-What's your favorite website? (no, you can't say theOtaku.)---fanfiction.net
-Do you like anything besides anime?---lots of things. kitties, grape juice, chocolate, s'mores, chicken, chilli, crocheting. . . .
-What would you do if you could fly?---i would never drive again. i would probably rarely walk either.
-Is this a question?!--- it has a question mark. therefore i count it as a question.
1. What language(s) are you most interested in learning, and why?---german. i was born in germany. it would be nice to know some of the language when i finally go back to visit.
2. Favorite Pokemon? Why? If you don't know anything about Pokemon, WHY NOT?--ninetails. i'm not sure why, it just has always been my fav.
3. What's your favorite place you have traveled to and why? If you haven't traveled, where would you like to go and why?---i think my fav was when i went to florida in the winter to go to disney. when i left home it was around -20 degress, lots of ice and snow, bitterly cold. in florida it was 70 degrees, and the grass there was actually GREEN and ALIVE. i sat in the grass forever. i didn't want to go back to my snowy home.
4. Favorite book/manga series? Why?---probably boxcar children. it was my escape as a kid, and the mysterys are still fun to read.
5. What are you most scared of?---anything happening bad to my kitty mindy. she is my baby girl, i couldn't imagine losing her, she is my daughter.
6. What is you best trait?---i can teach. i love being a teacher. (i can't wait to graduate)
7. What is your worst trait?---i can't stay mentally focused sometimes. i have to have something with texture to play with in my hands to stay grounded (i usually tear paper or crochet, both of which annoy my teachers)
8. What Hogwarts House are you in? If you don't know anything about Harry Potter, WHY NOT?---i'd probably choose slytherin
9. What's the worst injury you have ever had?---i have injured both my knees running. now i can't hardly jog at the gym, and i have to wear knee braces when i exercise otherwise i re-injure myself. it's a pain to have to wear the braces all the time.
10. What's your favorite song?---at the moment, chasing cars by snow patrol. the acapella version i found on youtube.
11. Do you like your name, dislike it, feel ambivalent about it, or not care? Why?---my username, yes. i adore my username. i wish it was my real name. i hate my real name. it is extremly common. and a lot of the people with my name also have the same middle name that i have. it is a common combination. i hate it. my parents were terribly unoriginal. yuck.
