i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.
Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.
Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)
Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.
Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.
Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

2. Fave Show/Anime?---right now, it's a serious tie between Survivor and Dancing with the Stars.
3. Talents other than drawing or using the laptop/computer?---crocheting
4. What do you look like? (Eye color, Hair color and style, basic information)---blue eyes, long light brown hair(though i plan on cutting it very short hopefully soon), i'm extremly pale (i blame my mom), i usually wear jeans, t-shirt, and a jacket. i always have a jacket/hoodie on me at all times.
5. Fave anime/manga character(s)?---i don't pick favs anymore. they all die.
6. Why did you choose your username?---at the time it was my fav flavor of ice cream. i still like mint, though it's not my fav anymore. but i love my name.
7. If you like novels, what is your fave?---right now i'm working on collecting the immortal secrets of nicholas flamel series. does that count?
8. Tell me a story?---ummm. my mom's cat bogart loves water ( i got him used to it as a kitten by taking him in the bathtub with me). now he loves to play in his water bowl (much to the disgust of the other cats). but his favorite thing to do is sit there, quietly with his paw just sitting in the water. and when another cat approaches to get a drink/bite to eat, he flicks his wet paw in their face to flick water at them. it usually startles them so bad they jump a foot in the air and land running. dad's cat texa hisses at him too usually. it's hilarious to watch.
9. What type of movies do you like? (I LOVE romance!)---disney!!! i love cartoons!

What makes your inner nerd squeal?
i crochet, and lots of people come up to me and ask what i'm knitting. so when someone actually recognizes that i'm crocheting, i get excited.
Super natural talent?
i am a cat whisperer. every cat i meet, even strays, seem to like me. i call them and can approach them. they let me pet and hold them. even if they are wild/don't know me. i love kitties! =^.^=
Coolest hobby that you do? Drawing doesn't count!
i crochet. i make aminekos, blankets, and backpacks.
Do you tell time in a digital clock or an analog? Military time or standard time?
both. all my watch necklaces are analog, and i prefer analog. i like to count down the day with them. it's harder to be accurate, more fun, more of a challenge.
Unhealthy habit number one?
i cannot stay mentally focused without help. i have to have something with a texture in my hands to stay grounded in reality. i usually end up bending and tearing paper into tiny little balls. my little balls sometimes make a mess, people hate them.
Is your job amazing or would you prefer to get another one?
i have 2 jobs and i love them both. one is very physically demanding, and i love the muscle i've built up, i'm super strong. and in the other i work with kids. i love kids. though i can't wait to graduate college and be a teacher. that is my dream job.
Do you handwrite things or print them? Or are you a person who types everything?
depends. i usually prefer to write, but i don't spell well. so i probably should type more, so that word can tell me how to spell things. i mix my letters up.
Awkwardest thing you've ever been caught wearing? BY THE PUBLIC EYE WHICH MEANS ANYONE BUT YOU
hmmm. probably when i shovel snow in the winter. i go out in my pajamas (a one-piece footie) with a bulky camouflage coat, bright purple gloves, a hat covered in random pin (or my blue hat that has really long floppy bunny ears), and my dad's old combat boots, which are 10 sizes to big. yeah, i'm quite a sight when i shovel snow. i should draw a pic. and sometimes i wear a green scarf and leopard print ear muffs.

today i had to work with my group on our group project. the guys decided they no longer like what they came up with, and decided to change it. so now instead of having a cloth ripple down the wall, it is just going to hang flat. BORING! but they won't listen to me. and they wanted to go with a satin/silk kind of cloth. so i brought them some of my scrap pieces i had leftover from another project. they got upset saying the red wasn't a deep enough red for them. i thought the red was perfect. it was a bright fiery red. they said they wanted a fiery waterfall. nope, now they want a deep wine red. D:< i hate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but on thursday we are supposed to bring the supplies in and start installing. they volunteered me to sew all 20 feet up the fabric in some way to keep it up on the wall. if it weren't for the fact that my grade also depends on this, i would totally screw them over.
at one point i actually wandered off to another group to see what they were doing out of curiosity. they are going to make stalgetites and hang them in an open doorway. i suggested they use paper machet to make them light enough to hang. and you want to know what was so great? they weren't my group, but they let me join their discussion. they actually listened to my suggestions and didn't blow me off. i don't even think my group noticed i had left.
and in my morning class we have starting writing lesson plans. but our teacher sucks. this is her first year, and she has no idea what she is doing. she expects us to write the same lesson 3 times in 3 different formats. then she wants to grade them all at the same time. but we don't understand why we don't do 2, hand 1 in, get feedback, revise, then write our final one. ugh.
the only good part of today was i got to ride my bike again. and i have started the rough draft of my history art project. i'm scribing a book in the same way that was done in medieval times. it is quite time consuming, but fun. i wrote my own story too, about wolves. i might post it here, i'm not sure. it's really short.
i had to student teach this morning. i had a good time with the second graders.
came home and did some homework. i also made s'mores on the stove top. except i didn't have any graham crackers. just mallows and chocolate. still tasted good.
mom and i biked to the gym, and i went to water aerobics. but that water could not have been warmer than 65 degrees. i usually don't curse, but i only had one word when i jumped into the pool. it wasn't a nice word. during class i reminded betina (our drill sergeant instructor) of a kick we haven't done in awhile. turns out it's called rocking the cradle. you hop on one foot while swinging the other foot and rocking your body front and back. it's lots of fun, until i got a muscle cramp.
mom made a loaf of bread to go with dinner. i love it when she makes bread. it's my absolute favorite.
