HELLOs. MintIceCream here(MIC for short) tis a world about me, and the crazy antics of my 5 cats that just love to drive me nuts.

Age-20

Gender-female
i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.

Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.

Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)

Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.

Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.

Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

anyways, have fun, and enjoy the power of the minty-ness.

i'm so tired

today was a long day. i woke up early so i could clean the house and get my chores done. then i went to the grocery store and worked all day. after that i went to my evening job, daycare at church. lastly some friends from the grocery store were having a bonfire and invited me so i hung out with them for awhile.

of the kids i watch, 2 of them make me laugh. jonah is 3rd grade, anna is 6th. and jonah has a crush on anna defiantly. i think anna might like him too, though she swears he's a gross boy. whenever they play hug tag they always go after each other. and when we play hopping bunny they always try to get each other out. they are always teasing each other.

44 mile bike ride

i slept in this morning. then did some homework before going on a bike ride. i managed to find a fun project on glaciers for my lesson plan homework assignment.

first mom, dad and i went to a pet fair. it mostly full of dogs and dog stuff, but there was some cat stuff. i have a big bag stuffed full of neat things for me, and LOTS of treat sample for mindy. she is going to be a very happy kitty.

then the three of us headed to the wabash. firs we went out to mineola (10 miles). then silver city (4 miles, 14). and lastly malvern (8 miles, 22). we stopped in each, ate our lunch/trail mix. then we turned around and went back to council bluffs where we started. mom and dad (mom mostly) gets EXTREMELY slow when she gets tired. i was tired too, but slowing down is stupid. the faster you pedal, the sooner you reach the end. and the sooner you reach the end, the sooner you can get off the bike. and after 44 miles, my butt really hurts. thankfully my knee braces worked well, so my knees don't hurt, and i don't think i re-injured them.

a gas station by the wabash sells some soda in glass bottles. if you've never had glass bottled soda, you MUST TRY IT!!!!! it is so fantastic! they had pepsi and orange fanta. i'm a coke person, not pepsi. but pepsi from glass is awesome. i bought 4 bottles. i can't wait to drink them!

this guy is awesome.

i actually enjoyed myself

i got to work today after class. i went to leave when my shift ended, and sue said it was really busy. i offered to stay. i usually don't stick around and work with the high school shift. i've had some bad experiences with the high schoolers, but the ones on today's shift were actually pretty cool. i got along with them really well, and actually enjoyed working with them. sue said i could even work with that shift regularly if i wanted to, which i might since my old shift is when i have class.

i've discovered a new tv series. i was watching at the gym this morning. it's called haven. it seems pretty cool, but i'm still not sure what all it's about. i need to do some research.

lapse in memory

today had a bad start. on Tues/Thurs my first class starts at 8:30. but for some reason this morning i thought it started at 9:00. so i was late to class. and we've started a project of sorts, so i also missed the instructions. but in my 2nd class we had a quiz, and i feel really confident that i did well. i do know i defiantly missed 2(i forgot to study the styles), but other than that i know i did good. in my 3rd class we've started a group project, which i am NOT enjoying. we have to do an installation art. first we had to decide on a potential spot, then what we could do with it. but my team mates started off by shoting down every one of my suggestions, then just ignored me all together. but the teacher said after the group project we are going to do the same project over again but as individuals. i so cannot wait to not have to deal with partners. i don't get along with basically all of my art classmates.

i hate lectures

class again. we had a quiz. i studied for it and took notes, but i didn't need to. the test turned out to be really easy. after class i wanted to go to work, but when i called patra told me she already had enough baggers. so instead i went to an art lecture. for my inter-media class i have to attend 3 lectures. i've already been to 2. but they're so BORING!!!! i already have a hard time mentally staying present in reality. and during a boring lecture any chances i have disappear. i really need to find some more strategies to fix my problem.

i then had a couple hours to kill before water aerobics so i headed to the gym. i hung out in my car in the lot studying. water aerobics was fun. we used noodles. but the water is REALLY cold. so when the teacher has us do stretches at the end i get out. i get to cold just standing there.
