HELLOs. MintIceCream here(MIC for short) tis a world about me, and the crazy antics of my 5 cats that just love to drive me nuts.

Gender-female
i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.

Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.

Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)

Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.

Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.

Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

anyways, have fun, and enjoy the power of the minty-ness.

that time again

today was church and sunday school. my class only had 6 kids today. and 5 of them were boys.

when i got home my parents and brother were gone. they had gone out for breakfast while i was at church then decided to go to the zoo, get hair cuts, and go grocery shopping. so i had the whole house to my self for several hours. i did have to vacuum the entire house, but i did that during commercials. arthur and the invisibles movies were on. i missed the first one and the first half hour of the second one though. at first i was just watching it because there was nothing on, but i got sucked in. it was really good! but then mom got home and took the tv away. she said we were going for a walk. but she did let me record the last bit of the movie. now i just have to figure out how to steal the remote away from her to watch it.

on our walk we walked to the goodwill a few miles from our house. i managed to convince my mom to let me get swim trunks. she is into the whole girls where bikinis and one pieces, have long hair, don't do karate and all that. but i hate girl swimsuits. i feel to naked in them and guys staring at me. swim trunks give me more coverage, i don't care how ridiculous i look. at least now guys won't be staring at me now. but now i have a pair of trunks. i told mom if she let me get some trunks then i'd do the water aerobics class with her, which i probably will regret.

i had to clean mindy's kennel again. it was absolutly disgusting. it looked like she had thrown up in her bed. *shudders* i'm supposed to clean it every week but i was busy and forgot last week. i feel so ashamed. escpecially after i saw how disgusting her bed was, and my poor baby had to sleep in it. i've decided for xmas i'm going to get her a new kennel because this one has a stink i can't get rid of and stains. my poor baby.

part one of the first arthur movie.

museum

today i went to the durham museum with ashley. i left home before anyone else was even up, they slept in really late. i woke up 6:45. it's impossible for me to sleep past 7 unless i stay up really late.

i couldn't drive my car to the museum because i'm still haveing issues trying to get my steering fixed, and ashley doesn't like to drive so she let me drive her mom's car. it was very strange at first. i'm so used to driving my cranky car so when ashley handed me the keys i was a bit intimidated. but her car is AWSOME!!! for starters, it's not broken in any way. the steering is so smooth, i loved it. to turn my car i have to use all my strenghth and really pull hard. it's exhausting. dad and i have tried 3 or 4 things so far and it's still no better.

we spent 4 hours in the museum. it used to be a train station when trains were the way to travel but shut down in the 70s i think, and the building was abandoned and fell to ruins. then later was restored and is now a museum. they even restored the soda fountain which has awsome milkshakes. ashley and i stopped there first for lunch. and there's an old train in the basement that is fun to go inside. but the temporary exhibit this time were pictures that had won the pulitzer prize. some of them were heartbreaking to see.

i got the rest of the yarn for mom's blanket. she's chosen a deep purple called amythst and a paller one called lavender.

this isn't my bell choir, but my choir has rung this song before. it's one of my favorites. i malleted the big bass bells in my choir for this song.

mow

today was a good day at work. and i took my crochet with me to do while waiting for a customer so i wasn't bored to tears. i hung out with chistie on her lunch break too. she drank 6 six energy drinks so she was hyper though.

this week was my turn to mow the church yards so i headed there after work. i liked my partner for this week too. i used the push mower and mowed around the building and lamp posts while he used the rideing mower to get the outsides done. but the grass really didn't need to be mowed. it was hot most of the week but we still mowed anyway.

so good to be home

i got home a few days ago, it feels great. i have my room back and my own bed, and i can get away from my family when i've had enough togetherness. i also went back to work this week, and the gym. thought today was horrible at work. the place was completly dead. but christie asked me to go to the gym with her after work and i did for a little bit. but my mom is missing. i got home and ryan said she's out running errands. i hope she'll be home soon. maybe i'll go dig out the hamburger helper in the cupboard and make dinner for her. or start it at least. i havig a gut feeling that she's upset.

i finished ryan's blanket on our trip though. mom washed it last night and he's started to use it. tonight i plan on starting on the blanket i'm going to make for mom's bday. it's going to be purple.

i finally saw the 4th pirates. i must say i was quite disapointed. i was told it was a prequel to the first 3 (which it turns out it isn't) so i was confused for most of the film. especially when i saw barbossa with a wooden leg. i kept thinking 'i don't remember him having a wooden leg in the other 3'. but the reason i like the other 3 so much is because of the triangle will elizabeth and jack make. they each have their own goal to accomplish but can't do it on their own. wether they like it or not they need it each. but in the 4th there's just jack,. . .and jack. mr. gibbs didn't play much of a role, and neither did barbossa. i was hoping for more barbossa. after the 3rd movie i really like him now. and angelina annoyed me. perhaps if she played more of a role and interacted with jack more, and we got to know her more i'd like her more. who knows. but i was disapointed with the movie.

just one more night

this is hopefully the last night we have to spend in a hotel. we should be home tomorrow. which means this will be the last night i have to share a bed with my brother, which i absolutly detest.

i'm so happy to be back in nebraska. where the ground is relativly flat and my ears don't pop. i looked up why our ears pop. when we go up the pressure presses our eardrums against the inner part of our ear, and when we go down the air presses the eardrums against the outer part of our ear. to releive the pressure air goes out a little tube whose name escapes me. i hate it when my ears pop.

when we arrived at our hotel mom decided we were going to walk the trail by the lake which turned into lets walk across town to the gym. took forever to get there. and mom had said it would be this high-tech really cool gym. but it was a tiny brick building with 5 machines. so after wandering around town for nearly an hour we arrived at this itty bitty gym. a total let down. ugh. i wish i was home. i miss my cats.
