HELLOs. MintIceCream here(MIC for short) tis a world about me, and the crazy antics of my 5 cats that just love to drive me nuts.

i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.

Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.

Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)

Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.

Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.

Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

stovetop s'mores

yesterday i was so busy working on izzy's amineko i wasn't able to log on to my computer. and i wasn't even able to finish it! i had to wake up early this morning to get it finished before i went to the gym. after i finished at the gym i headed over to work to give izzy her amineko, and a starbusrt. she was so excited. she saw me crocheting this week and kept bugging me cause she wanted to see what i was working on. eventually i just told her that she would see it saterday, which excited her cause then she knew it was for her. but thankfully since you make an amineko piece by piece she never saw what it was until i brought it to her all sewed together. she was so happy she gave me a hug!!!! i never get hugs unless i initiate them. but izzy gave me own on her own. it was very nice.

i was hoping to be able to work today, but patra said she had enough baggers. so i came home and took a nap. mindy even snuggled up in my arms.

yesterday after work i dug out our s'more stuff. we had some a few weeks ago but the parents haven't wanted them again lately. the chocolate and marshmallows have been taunting me every time i open the pantry. so yesterday i took the grate off the stove top, stuck a marshmallow on a fork and made s'mores. i think i'm going to make some more tonight. but the great thing about s'mores is that i can't eat them cleanly. i always end up covered in sticky marshmallow. it drives my mom nuts.

mom says we have to do yardwork tonight because it's going to rain tomorrow, and monday we're leaving for the grand canyon for a week so it has to be done tonight. but thankfully i managed to get ryan to trade. he's going to help with yardwork and tomorrow i'll do his inside chores.

well, off to make s'mores now. i'll post a pic of izzy's amineko tomorrow.

OMG she MOVED!!

today was sunny with a slight breeze. made work enjoyable. and it was busier than yesterday!!! but i did manage to get the ears and 1 arm done for izzy's amineko. i got the other arm done at home, i hope to get the muzzle done today too before i head off to bed.

my cat chased a bug! she's old, so she doesn't really move to much anymore, but she saw the little thing hovering in my room and ran! she darted across my bed and leapt into the air and caught it! i think she even killed it. i should give her a treat. it was nice to see her move. i think she even had fun.

my dad's cat texa hates me. he was in the kitchen earlier, and i was on the couch in the living room. i blew him a kiss and he got a panicked look on his face and scrambled across the linoleum trying to dodge it. the second time he was outside on the deck, and when i blew him a kiss he ran down the steps into the yard. the third time he was coming back into the house and ran back outside when i blew him a kiss. the last two times i saw him she zoomed past me so i wouldn't have a chance to blow him a kiss. picking on him is so much fun.

rainy

today it was cold, rainy, and windy at work. made being outside not fun at all. but i did manage to nearly complete izzy's amineko.

mom is selling me her shoes. my gym shoes pinch my small toes, which is really painful when i'm on the elliptical. but mom wears a 1/2 size bigger than me, and her shoes are pinching her feet too. but being a 1/2 size bigger they're perfect for me. and she hasn't worn them to much so they're still in good condition. it will be so nice to workout without intense pain in my feet.

mom's making PB+chocolate chip cookies tonight. my favorite!!!

i don't have to take any classes this summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at my advising appointment at the university i found out that the class i thought i needed to take this summer wouldn't transfer, and even if it would i already have to many credits so it still wouldn't transfer. this will be the first summer i've had off in 3 years. i'm so excited.

i took some yarn to work today to crochet when it was slow. good thing i did too. it rained really hard for about 2 hours so there wasn't much business so i got a lot of crocheting done. izzy's bday is in a week and i'm trying to get an amineko made for her. i'm going to make her a rainbow one with pink tips. i am naming it starbursts and i will put a pack of starbursts in it's paws.

mom's making blc (bacon lettuce and cheese) for dinner tonight. yummm.

last day of class!!!!!!:)

tonight is the final class for spring quarter! i'm so happy. i am taking 1 class this summer, but i have 2 weeks off before that class starts. so for the next to weeks it's just going to be me relaxing and doing what i want to do, not homework and projects teachers want me to do.

tonight my class is meeting at the university instead of the community college campus. this class is an education class (human growth and development). we're going to meet the head of the education department at the university and get a tour of the dept. exciting. i also have and advising appt. there today as well before class to get registered for classes for this fall. hopefully everything will go well.
