HELLOs. MintIceCream here(MIC for short) tis a world about me, and the crazy antics of my 5 cats that just love to drive me nuts.

Age-20
Job-substitute teacher
Gender-female
i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.

Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.

Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)

Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.

Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.

Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

anyways, have fun, and enjoy the power of the minty-ness.

observation

today i visited my old (my brother's current) high school. i had to do my last observation. i confused the ladies at the office. i told them i was a college student and asked them if i could observe an art or history class. they just stood there b...

forgot!

i totally forgot that i have a huge project due for clas tomorrow night. i ahve to make a power point on teaching strategies for a kid i'm going to follow as they grow up. i've chosen to follow baljeet from phineas and ferb. i have the power point done, now i'm just working on what i'm gonna say during the presentation.

mom actually went to church willingly with me today.she took me out for breakfast before too! we went to subway.but she left after service and i had to stay for the sunday school class i teach. i gave them berry applesauce for snack today. they were all complaining because the first hour teacher gives them junk food but i only give them fruit and vegetables. i made them all try it though, and all but 1 liked it. they always like my healthy snacks, so i don't understand why they complain every week.

when i got home i started working on frostbite's island and my power point. but while i was gone bogart went into my room and pulled all the trees i had glued onto skulker's island. i think i've gotten them all glued back on now, and i've covered it this time. and dad got home from work early so we worked on the dollhouse. we got the 2 doors almost completly finished and put the roof on. we have the rest of the pieces for the doors cut, but we're out corner round and staples. so we're at a standstill.

tonight is the finale of survivor. yay! i love that show. i want to be on it one day. i could totally kick butt on that show.

she hasn't killed me yet

my room looks like a bomb went off. i've started working on the realms for the doll house, so supplies and bags from michaels, walmart and blick are all over my room. i'm surprised my mom hasn't burst into my room snarling at me to clean my room. but it will be clean eventually. once the doll house is completed i can move the realms into it and they won't be cluttering my floor anymore.

and speaking of my mom, she tried to persuade me to give up on the doll house. she said there was no place to store it in the house or my room. so i was going to give up since she's right. but dad rescued me. he said that when he was a kid he had a fort his uncle steve made for him and his brother, and even made little cowboys and indian. they played with it all the time. he said this handmade dollhouse would be great for when i have kids of my own. and he suggested calling my grandparents. they have a big old farmhouse out in the country, and that they might be willing to store the dollhouse in their attic untill i move out. i called them and they said yes. so i'm still going to make the dollhouse, much to my mom's annoyence. sometimes i think she doesn't like the fact that i'm an artist. she thinks what i make is clutter.

i spent today working on the realms. i got pariah's castle done, and i'm almost finished with youngblood's pirate ship. i even got started on skulker's island. i'm supposed to meet with a friend tonight at her house and we both have sculpting clay. so while she makes food with hers i'm gonna work on making skulker and clockwork's tower.

last night dad and i got a bunch done on the actual dollhouse. we've gotten three walls put together, and the pieces for the doors cut, they just need to be assembled. but he had to work overtime today, so i'm not sure if he's going to be willing to work on it tonight. i hope he is.

my new fav. song. determinate by lemonade mouth.

new episode tonight!!!!

today i drove all the way out to class, and realized i forgot my ceramic glaze. and since next week is the last day of class, i had to glaze my pieces today. so i had to drive all the way home to get it. but i also grabbed a can opener. i took a can of chilli for lunch but forgot the can opener.

once i got back to class we had to do our presentations for what we have planned for our final projects. i glazed my pieces, got some sewing done, we criticted our molded and carved pieces, and by then class was done. but i found a solution to the cracked glass of the clock in my staff. i removed the glass. i tapped it lightly with a hammer to break it some more and pulled it out. it looks much better now. and when i showed it to the class i wrapped a piece of purple cloth around my shoulders to look like clockwork and made my classmates laugh.

i hope to get my 3 clockworks done tonight, and hopefully get walker and frostbite prepared so i can sew them tomorrow.

there's a new episode of phineas and ferb on tonight!!!! yay!

damaged leaky takeback

i had orientation last night. this summer is the last class i'm taking at the community college i'm at, i'm transfering to a university this fall. the university is so confusing, i have a hard time finding the building i need to be at. but it turns out the university has an AWSOME gym. there's lots of machines, weights, giant pool rockwall, hottub, and self defense classes. i can't wait.

yesterday was also the last day with the daycare class i do wednesday mornings. i'm really gonna miss those kids. hopefully i'll have them again this fall when the class starts back up again.

today was a good day. but going up and down the ramps all day dragiing heavy carts strained my knee again, so it's sore again. i think tomorrow i'm finally gonna call the doctor to have my knee looked at. it shouldn't be hurting anymore. but cheryl, a cashier, let me be on the intercome today. she let me say that there was a leaky damaged takeback on register 8. sadly that was the most exciting part of the day.

after work i went to michaels and walmart to get more art stuff, and when i got home i had to help with yardwork. i had to rake the excess grass the mower didn't suck up and throw it away. but i checked on my strawberry plant, and it's flowering!!! both it and the baby one! hopefully by next week their be a strawberry for me to eat. but now it's dinnertime, and then i'm gonna spend the rest of the night doing homework.

i finished my staff. but when i glued the clock in the staff, i discovered that something had fallen on the clock and there are now 2 cracks in the glass. between that and all the chips in the wood i'm wishing i had never built it in the first place. i should've just carved a miniture version out of plaster.
