i recently graduated from college with a BS degree in education, certified for art (I'm an art teacher). i currently sub teach while i shop for a job in my content area.
Mindy-my cat, she's a white cat with tabby splotches all over. She's 15 years old, nonsocial, phychotic, and crazy. But i love her all the same.
Texa-my dad's cat primarily, he has a tuxedo style coat. black with a white strip down his belly, on his paws, and the lower half of his face. he's also a manx(no tail) and very talkative. a gentle giant, very lovable, although he doesn't really like me to well. he's 11 years old. (he's also kind of a cranky old @$$)
Bogart-mom's cat. and mine sometimes. the very fat one of our family. he's 7 year old. a brown tabby who loves to raise chaos. he loves to terrorize the adults, and chew on everything. he's also a big pig and will eat anything. even though he's my mom's cat, he loves everyone. he's quite the ladies man. he prefers the company of women over men.
Sammie-Ryan's cat. 7 year old. he is all gray, with thick soft fur. the sweetest cat in the whole world. he isn't all that smart though, and kinda slow. definatley not our brightest bulb, but we love him all the same. he will do anything for a tidbit of human food, so i have managed to teach him a few tricks. his favorite food is gold fish. we try to tell him it's not a real fish, but he doesn't believe us.
Augustus (GUS for short)- everyone's cat. the newest addition to our family, we rescued him from a cousin who should be banned from owning animals. he was 5 weeks old when we got him, so tiny. he's now 3 years old. he is a miniture norwegian forrest cat. all black, orange eyes, and EXTREMLY fluffy. he is the baby of the family, and res1sident ninja/trouble-maker. he is also quite dog like. he will sit and shake paws for a treat, likes to play fetch, loves meeting new people, and go for walks on a leash and harness.

today was good up to a point, then everything went downhill. work was good. but i had a pen in my jacket pocket which exploded. my pants are now the canvas for abstract art. personally i think the splotches look really cool. mom on the other hand, hates it. but the back of the jacket pocket was still slightly damp. so i snuck up to people and real quick poked them with it, and gave them blue splotches. the last hour of work was fun!
but i went to go home after work, and realized i didn't have my keys. i locked them in the car. thankfully i passed by greg in the parking lot, and he was parked near me. i asked him if he had a stick of some sort. i had my windows cracked, so if i could just lower something in there and bump the unlock button i could get in my car. thankfully greg is super nice and helped me get into my car.
after work dad and i went to lowes to get final supplies for y ghostzone dollhouse. it ended up being 50 dollars more than i expected. why must art supplies cost so much?
when we got home, i started working on filing away a piece of wood round it out. i was using a power tool file, and it bit me. the wood sliped and i ended up rubbing my knuckle against a high speed large oothed file the scraped a bit of my knuckle raw. it still hurts.
i managed to get my staff completly assembled. i just need to sand and paint it, which i shall do tomorrow. i'm not going to the gym tomorrow. my right knee is aching again. i had to go up the ramps and hill all day long at work, and i think i rehurt my knee again. so instead of going to the gym tomorrow and making it worse, i'm just going to walk to work instead.
i had to drag myself out of bed this morning. i ended up sleeping an hour longer than i had wanted. but i went to the gym, and i'm glad i did, because i had a lot more energy when i got done. but i was only able to do my fav stairmaster for a half hour instead of an hour like i wanted. my right knee is acting up again. after just a half hour i ended up limping off the machine. i should've gotten off sooner.
i came home and made myself a fried egg sandwitch for lunch. yumm. i haven't had one in a while, it was awsome. and i managed to get my zune to work! usually the family computer hates me and refuses to either sync with my device, or send music to my device, but it worked today. and i added some more episodes of danny phantom! i can't wait to watch them at the gym tomorrow.
i'm nearly done with my paper!!! i have maybe 1-2 more pages, i think i'll be able to get it done tonight! yay! and i got some of my art project done too. dad and i got the trapeziod thing sawed out and glued to the top piece. we drilled a hole in the bottom of the trapeziod and filed the pole down, and tomorrow we'll glue those two pieces together. we also got about half done with the tiny piece done that goes on the bottom of the staff. all we have to do tomorrow is saw the hole out of the top piece and instal the clock, and finish the tiny bottom piece. thursday i'll paint it and turn it in on friday! tomorrow though dad and i have to go shopping for the final supplies. we need large pieces of wood to build my ghostzone dollhouse, hotglue to glue the realms down inside the dollhouse, and a special screw to attach the tiny bottom piece of the staff to the pole.
i told ryan that i probably won't have his blanket done on his birthday. he asked me to crochet a red, white and blue blanket for him for his birthday. i have a little more than 1 skane left to go, but with my huge final project and another paper to type, it won't be done on the 23rd. but i told him i would work on it during the long drive to the grand canyon. we are going there the first week of june. he said he was okay with waiting, it's not exactly blanket weather anymore so he's in no big hurry. but once i finish his i have immediatly start working on mom's. her birthday is mid-august, and she wants a pink and purple blanket.
i spent the majority of the day in a car. after church we headed out on the road to take haylie home. but while we were there we hooked up with the grandparents and walked over to Zeno's Pizza for dinner. but on the way back home we passed a frozen yogurt place called purple cherry that was new there. ryan and i managed to convince mom to give us some cash to get something. i got cheesecake and hershey kiss flavors with sprinkles! it was awsome. but when we got home we discovered that one of the cats had been sick while we were gone and pucked on the carpet. gross.
my allergies have been horrible today! i've been sneezing all day, and my nose and eyes won't stop itching! i hate spring.
i was working on my practice plushies today, and my grandma showed me a quiker way to do the backstitch. it's like doing 2 stiches at once! my plushies take no time to sew now.

my parents and even my brother have actually been helping out alot with haylie! i've managed to get 4 pages of my paper typed. today we all went to a drive through safari that had some bears, bison, and a lot of different deer and elk. there was also a trail we could walk. but there was a hill, a huge hill that had steps made for tall people. i practically had to lift my foot up to my ears to get up to the next stpe. and i swear there were a hundred of them! it was an exhausting hill. but after we finished the trail we ate a lunch we packed out amongst the trees. it was really nice.
during the long car trip to the safari and back i got one of my practice plushies done for my art project. i also took a nap. when haylie's over she has to sleep with me in my bed. but she insists on lyeing right up against me and wants to share my pillow with me. but i want absolutly no contact whatsoever. i barely got any sleep last night so the nap was great.
when we got home dad and i worked on my art project some. i got to use a power saw to cut the wood. all we need to do is cut the hole for the clock and the top part will be done. i also got the smaller pieces sketched out on the blocks of wood. probably monday i'll saw them out.
i had to do daycare today. at the daycare i work at, one of the boy's mom was haveing her vows renewed today. she asked if i and 3 other ladies could do childcare during the reception. the room we were in was really nice, but at one point we had roughly 40 screaming kids in there. i'm not really sure how many there were, there was to many to count and the parents kept picking them up then dropping them off again. it was crazy.
tomorrow is mother's day!!! i got my mom a crystal cat that looks like her cat bogart and a crocheted rose. tomorrow we're taking haylie back home and going to visit grandparents. i'm going to take the fabric for my plushies and try to get them sewed and cut out, ready to be stuffed when i get home. i'm also going to take my textbook and try to get the rest of my worksheets finished.
i had to go to art class today.i spent the entire class perfecting the stencils for my plushies. i got 2 of the four done. and i actually managed to figure out how to get to hobby lobby from campus and back without getting lost. i got some teeny tiny buttons for eyes for my plushies.and some extra fabric for practice plushies.
mom and dad decided to go get my 4 year old cousin haylie for the weekend. i WAS planning on typeing my paper, making my plushies, and make my staff. but nooo. now i have to entertain a 4 year old all weekend long. and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get any homework done with a 4 year old that has glued herself to your hip.i love haylie, but i am really backed up on a lot of stuff. my mom wants he over, but refuses to entertain her. my brother locks himself in his room so he's no help, and my dad complains that he 'too old'. but i don't care what their excuses are. i have homewor and they are going to help me! i refuse to do all the work this time.
