this morning me+3 other circle k member joined the kiwanis club people and cleaned some yards of the elderly people. we raked leaves mostly. i got to use a leaf blower too. but the lady of the first house, maxine, was such an awesome lady. she insisted that everyone have a drink and an apple for a snack when we finished. and she gave everyone a gnome she made. she said she's swedish, so she made everyone a tonte, which is a swedish gnome, made out of a log of wood. he's super cute. they are supposed to protect your house. and if you give them porridge on christmas eve, they protect your presents too. i put mine in my garden to protect my strawberry plants.

when i got home i had to help my parents clean their yard, then i spent a couple hours just doing homework. then mom took me to kohls to shop. i got 2 dress shirts to wear to my practicum, and lots of crazy socks. i never wear matching socks, and a lot of my socks got holes this summer and had to be thrown away. it's hard to mix-match socks when you only have 3 socks with patterns.
