I love Sundays

After I fed Mindy her meds this morning, I defided to stay up and get some things done. Called my grandma to chat, put away my clean laundry, started a pot of super spicy chicken vegetable stew (which bubbled over when I wasn't paying attention and made a huge mess), and got some cleaning done. Before heading to church I stopped by my parents for breakfast. Dad made an egg/meat/potato scrambler.

For Sunday School, I found out the sub teacher I had for my kindergartners last week didn't follow the schedule I spent an hour writing up, and my kids told me all about the things they are used to us doing that the sub didn't do. They were very happy I was back and to have the normal schedule back. And for service we had a guest pastor giving the sermon. He was a nice guy, but boring. I hope our pastors come back next week.

After church was my weekly errand to walmart. I found some adorable onsie pajamas, super soft fleece. I got a camo one with a hood. I forgot to eggs though. So the cornbread I had planned to have with my soup tonight was a bust. Oh well. But I did get some subway for lunch which was a nice treat.

Once home I ate lunch, washed my new pjs, showered and snuggled into my chair for a tv marathon. I've been on a Scorpion and Gotham binge. I let my soup simmer all day after adding a TON of cayenne and red peppers. It was almost to spicy to eat. It burned fierce. And the pot made enough for 5 dinners, which means I won't have to cook for the rest of the week. Mom thinks it's gross rhat I make a meal and eat leftovers all week. But it's cheaper and less work than cooking everynight. It would be nice to have a hot fresh meal more often but that's just not something I can afford.
