A lot has happened in the past year. It seems almost unreal to realize that in just a few days I’ll have been away from home for an entire year. It seems like only yesterday that I was moving into the basement apartment I’m now staying in. And yet so many things have happened. Some good and some bad of course, like the accident Indi was in last month, though she has healed up really well. I’m really glad everyone is okay. That was very upsetting. Anyway…
Let’s see, I think I’ll try to list a few of the things I remember most about the past year. ^_^ There are a lot of things to mention though. O_o
Biggest thing was discovering how much fun the Internet can be. My parents were paranoid about it and until I got my own computer, the one we had at home was strictly controlled, so I never did much of anything online. It just wasn’t worth the fuss of being grilled over what I had looked at. XP (Which by the way was usually nothing more than e-mail)
I discovered, thanks to Sir Allamorph and Indi, that I adore Nightwish, though my parents aren’t very happy about that. >_> I got a lecture about how metal music is of the devil. o_O I’m not sure if I get that one but I’m not going to argue over it. I’m not going to quit listening to the music either. XD
Oh and having roommates is fun! ^_^ I’ve heard so many horror stories about bad roommates so I’m glad I got good ones. We have so much fun, Indi and I and our other roomie too. It makes me glad that we’ll both be here for another year.
I also have found anime and two sites with lots of fun people. You know who you are; I’m looking at all of you people’s here! =P
I guess the only bad thing has been realizing just how… strict… my parents were and still are. I still love them, I just wish they’d check things out before they pass judgment on them.^^ We had a big fight earlier this year since I took an ethics class and they didn’t agree with that choice. However, they’ve never taken one so I think they are missing out.
It also helps that my parents retired and moved to St. George Utah. So being six hours south of me keeps any fuss down to a minimum. I guess this is just normal for growing up. I’d love for us to agree about everything, but then the world would be kind of boring if we all did. I think… I’m not sure. XP
