I've become addicted to the lolcats site. Thus my title since for whatever reason, I just love this paticular one that I saw when Sir Allamorph posted it in a thread at OtakuBoards a while back. XD
I just never get tired of that one, it's so cute. =3 Anyway...
You could say I had a crazy weekend. ^_^ Crazy and fun that is. It started off with a bit of a joke between Indi and myself. I had asked her to hide a package that came for me since I'm terrible about wanting to peek when I shouldn't. >_> I don't know why I feel that way, the few times I have actually done that, later I was kicking myself for actually looking. I haven't done it more than a few times, even if I am tempted.
Anyway, that resulted in the joke that at midnight she had to hand it over so I kept myself awake by hanging out in the chat Saturday evening. It was just good silly fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. ^_^ She didn't give me the package back though. I wasn't really expecting her too, that wasn't going to happen until after I'd slept and gone to church.
So I got my sleep, went to church and got lots of fun well wishes since I turned 23 on Sunday. >_> This is where you lament that you're so old, but I don't feel old so I say blah! =P Anyway, some of my friends had gotten little cards and some gave me flowers, which was a nice surprise. ^_^ I have those sitting in little vases in my room. I love Daisy's, they're so pretty and cheerful.
Then when I came home... Indi and the others surprised me with a birthday party. XD I was not expecting that! So we had pizza, ice cream and cake. We ended up watching some Dr. Who and just having a good time. ^_^ And yes, I finally got my package that had come. That was from my parents. I was a little surprised by what they gave me though. o_O
They don't usually do much in the way of gifts once you get older. It made me wonder if they felt a little bad for giving me grief over taking that Ethics class and liking Metal Music. It was a nice surprise but seriously. Usually it's a card and maybe a cd or a good book they think I would like. I prefer that actually since I'm an adult and not a kid anymore.
This time... it was season one and two box sets for Dr. Who. o_O I thought they had made a mistake but when my parents called to wish me a happy birthday, they wanted to know if they got the right one. So now I need to rewatch that since I've only seen them once.
So all in all it was great day. But the fun didn't end there! I logged into OtakuBoards and found pm's from members wishing me a happy birthday too. What surprised me the most though was logging into theOtaku. So many updates and cute little e-cards and even a wallpaper that Beth made. XD I have that set as my new background, it's cute! I love Yutaka from Lucky Star. ^_^
I think the biggest surprise was all the pm's. O_O I've never had so many pm's in my inbox before. XD So thank you everyone for the e-cards, wallpapers and gifts. ^_^ That just made my day to tell the truth. This place is such fun and I love all the friends I've made since I joined. So if you accept e-hugs... consider yourself hugged! >_> Though I'd probably do it anyway... special occasion and all that. :p
