As, usual I own almost nothing. The characters of Twilight, and New Moon, belong to Stephanie Meyer. Renka Syth, Alex Vhen, Thomas Lee, Rosalie Baker, Terrin Lanor, & Shuva, along with this storyline are mine though.
the Coven - Chapter 3
He gave a nod, and she stood up. But, she could only take a step, before she was being held in Renka's arms once more. He shook violently, and she whispered to him, hugging him tightly in return. He took a long time to become calm again, but he hadn't let go of her since. He was still tense.
"She can stay." Alex spoke.
Boomer chuckled, as Renka sighed in relief. He nuzzled he shoulder, over and over'; Even as her cheeks flushed. She was smiling though. Alex glanced at her, and she quickly averted her eyes. He snorted at that, and patted her head reassuringly.
"Does she even know what imprinting means?" he mused, teasingly.
"Um..well, no." she admitted.
He facepalmed. "Boomer!" he whined.
"You're his mate, now." the calmer blonde explained.
"I'm his...what?" her eyes widened.
"Please understand..imprinting isn't voluntary, and wolves mate for life." His own eyes begged her to remain calm.
She couldn't stop shaking. Renka whimpered, nuzzling her over and over, but she pulled away. He looked at her then, and shuddered with what he saw in her eyes. "Sorry.." she mumbled, laying her hand on his arm for a moment. "I just need to think."
"Terrin."
She shook her head, and took off down the stairs.
"Terrin!"
"Let her go."
"Boomer..."
"Alex," The blonde met his gaze calmly. "Both of you, give her time."
"But.."
"But nothing." his tone hardened slightly. "Give her time, or she will pull away."
"Boomer, are you sure?" Alex asked.
"I..can't.." Renka shook his head, "I can't stay away."
"You have to."
"Boomer!"
"I'm sure."
She had made it all the way to the main floor. Forgetting to watch where she was going, she jogged right into a solid wall of flesh. She squeaked in surprise, while the person she'd run into grunted, from the sudden jolt. "I'm sorry.." her voice caught in her throat though, when she gazed up into the eyes of Emmett Cullen.
"No problem," he chuckled. "You're the new werewolf girl right?"
"Um..yeah, I guess. But, I'm not..."
"A werewolf? Yeah, I figured as much."
She raised her brow. He patted his nose. "Smell." was all he said.
"Oh."
"Yeah," he shrugged.
"Cool." she shrugged as well."
"So, you aren't..afraid of Shuva?"
"Usually not."
"And other vampires?"
"A respectful amount of fear.."
He chuckled. "We have a similiar diet. Only we stick to only animals, if we can help it."
"Is Carliste your father?"
"Yep." he grinned.
"What's he like?"
"Want to meet him?"
"Can I?"
"Sure. We have to let him know, who knows our secret anyway."
"Um, when?"
"Mm. Walk with me to the others? We can ask them."
"Alright."
They chatted all the way to the jeep, keeping it light and friendly. It didn't deter the glares of his mate though, as Rosalie wasn't very thrilled to see them walking together. Alice nodded to her though, and even Jasper gave her a small smile.
"What is she doing here?" Rosalie asked, stiffly.
"I think she should meet Carliste."
"Oh.." she relaxed then. "That's a good idea."
"Yeah, but when?"
"Good question." Edward spoke up, as he and Bella walked over.
"Why not ask, and let me know tomorrow?" Terrin said quietly.
"Sure." Emmett nodded. "I'll tell you in english then."
"Thanks." she smiled.
"Hey, Terrin?" Bella waved her back, for a moment.
"Hm?"
"Ever heard of La Push?"
"Um, I think so. The reservation, right?"
"Mhm. Wanna go with me?"
"To where?"
"La Push!" the other girl laughed. "I'm going to visit one of my friends there, and I could use the company, if that's okay?"
"Sure, when?"
"Um..today?" the girl smiled sheepishly.
It was her turn to laugh. "What time?"
"Erm..now, actually."
She shrugged. "Alright. Lead the way!"
"You sure it's okay? I'm sorry, it's really last minute." Bella asked, as they got into her truck.
"My uncle said he didn't mind. He seemed glad I was going with another girl."
She laughed. "Have alot of male friends?"
"Kinda." she laughed as well. "Um, so what's your friend's name?"
"His name's Jacob Black," Bella smiled, then shrunched her face. "I swear he gets taller everytime I see him though!"
"Boys tend to do that."
"Yeah, but he's as skinny as a beanpole." she shrugged. "Though, He's great at cheering people up."
"That's cool that he can."
"Yeah, I guess it is."
They parked the truck in the driveway, before walking to the door, side by side. A calm dark - skinned man greeted them. "Ah, Bella. Good to see you," he smiled. "Let me grab the fish." he wheeled himself inside, before coming back with a bag. "I called for Jacob.." he added with a vague shrug.
"Thanks, Billy."
"And who is this?"
"This is Terrin. She just moved to Forks a few days ago."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Black."
"You can just call me Billy." he nodded.
"Oky."
He chuckled. "Don't be so nervous."
"I'll try."
