I'm putting this here cause it seemed like a good idea.
So anyway, that "sneak preview" I put in Getsumei yama? This is the prologue I finished. I think I'll feature the story here, since this is a "writers' circle" and this is, well, a piece of writing. I'll have the first chapter up shortly.

The Shino Academy garden was one of her favorite places. It was beautiful, colorful, and, in her image, perfect. It was everything she wasn’t.
She was born evil. A demon, born of a demon.
People always complimented her serenity and her beauty.
That was until she showed them her dark, malicious soul.
She sat on her knees and calves in the grass, drinking in the fresh, crisp morning breeze and the sweet scent of the flowers and tangy aroma of the pine trees. Every Monday morning and Saturday evening she would come here and just sit in silence. It was her ritual for the week in order to get her through it and to calm her down after it was over.
When everyone failed her, she always had nature’s wonders to fall back on.
Too bad she herself wasn’t a work of nature.
She was the work of Hell.
“Mistress. It is almost time for morning classes.”
“What did I tell you?” she snapped calmly at him. “I will go when I am ready. I am too skilled for them to kick me out merely because I am late. They will not risk losing one such as myself.”
“H-hai, Mistress.”
“My time is almost upon us. Have you and the others prepared everything as I instructed?”
“Hai, Mistress. Everything is going perfectly, smoothly, and according to plan.”
“Good,” she smiled slightly, picking a white daffodil. “That’s very good. Are you ready?”
“Hai, Mistress,” the voice replied resolutely.
“Good,” she said again. “Because things are going to change… fast…”
“Mistress?”
“Things need to change. I will be the one to bring it. The system is corrupt--broken. I will fix it. I will cleanse it. And afterwards, I will rebuild it. Like a phoenix from ashes, I will rise this realm up from its own ashes and it will be reborn, burning brighter and better than ever before. And nothing will stop me. Wrongdoers will know the painful sting of law and order, and the people will know the sweet, satisfying taste of justice. Things must change. I will accomplish this.”
“Hai, Mistress. We all have great faith in you.”
She humph’ed and smiled widely, sniffing the daffodil. “You are dismissed.”
“Hai.”
She heard the shuffle of his uniform as he bowed and then the tak tak of his sandals as he left. When she knew he was long gone, she said to herself, “They are all fools for following me. It will bring them only one of two things: a place in my moment of triumph or a tragic death.”
Azayaka Datenshi knew what her journey would bring her. She knew where her desires would take her. But even if her vision didn't become a reality, she would accomplish one thing, no matter what.
Her father would feel the cold, piercing sting of her blade.
