# 1 Rule in Slayer's Hanbook: Never Fall in Love with the Enemy

Chapter Twelve

Seeing Him

Matty and Becca decided they'd spend the night, since it was Friday and we could all stay up.

Once we got in the house, we unloaded all the bags, and Becca, Kaity, and I started placing them in drawers and Kaity's closet, while Matty supervised.

Once we were done that, we girls plopped down on the bed. Matty plopped down beside me, and slung on of his arms lazily, over my shoulders.

"Man, that was a whole lot of work." He said, out of breath.

We turned our heads to look at him, before I pushed him off the bed and onto the ground.

"Well, jeez. Don't have to be so rough." He said, getting off the floor.

I rolled my eyes, and went to my bedroom to change. I changed into this, and then made my way downstairs.

I grabbed the phone, and figured I should probably order pizza for supper, once I finished that, I went to take a nap because of my job. Matty also knew about it and so did Becca, but Kaity still was clueless.

~~~
My alarm went off, and I shut it off, with a groan. I got out of bed, and started to get ready. I wore the usual black attire, and I tied my hair up into a pony tail.
I pulled open my window, and swung my legs over. I jumped down, since my room wasn't so far from the ground, and I was off to start another day on the job.
~~~

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. 2:48 AM. I slipped it back into my pocket, and walked into an empty park.

I sat down on a vacant swing, and rocked myself gently. I felt the vibrating coming from my pocket, so I pulled out my phone.

Blocked Name

"Hello?" I said into my phone.

"Jessica?" I heard a male voice ask.

"Yes, who's this?" I asked, suspiciously.

"Turn around." He said, then he hung up.

Turn around?

I did what he said, and I saw Dylan.

"Oh, it's only you. Look, can't you just leave me alone? We called it a tie, you said I could go home safely." I told him.

I saw a figure step out from behind him, and I froze with who it was.

"Jess, can I talk to you?" Jake asked, desperately.

"Why so you can call me a wh--- and tell me I don't deserve anything, again?" I asked.

"No, that wasn't--" He started.

"That wasn't me?" I finished for him. "If it wasn't then who was it? Your twin maybe? Oh yea, that's right, you don't have one." I said, coldly.

"Just let him explain." Dylan said.

"Why? He had perfect chances to explain two years ago, and you expect me to let him explain now?" I asked.

"It wasn't my fault." Jake said weakly.

"It wasn't your fault?!" I asked, before laughing hysterically. "That's rich. If it wasn't your fault who's was it?" I asked.

"Alyssa's." He said.

"Alyssa's? So, you're telling me she broke off then engagement and not you? She said all those things to me? She made you kiss her right in front of me? She was the reason I can't look at the mirror for a long period of time, because all I can see is me with you?!" I asked, my never ending rage coming out.

"Well, no, but--" He started.

"That's all I needed to know." I got up from the swing, and made my way back home. Once I got there, I saw Matty int he kitchen, eating some cookies and milk.

"Jess, what's wrong?" He asked, getting p and walking towards me.

"I saw Jake." I said.

"Awe, it's okay, Jessie." Matty said, pulling me into a hug and letting me cry on his shoulder.
